*When Llyshon places his hand on her shoulder, Kimberlyn can only manage a shrug. It's obvious this whole thing and bringing up memories of that night on the alter is weighing on her.*

Llyshon, the Keep is one of the many places I can stay at. I'll explain how I came to the theory later, but those things appeared in the room where the talisman was and not where I was this time.

Believe me when I tell you I am not liking this putting other people in danger thing. I guess it's a good thing they are saving all the nasty blows for me.

Another thing I'm curious about is why? Is is simply because I got away or does the death of a Mage Hunter of my power trigger some ritual that will either bring something nasty into this world, fulfill some contract, or what.

*She thinks*

Llyshon, do you think Toevas might have something to shut this thing down for awhile or at least throw off the thing like is being done with that item.

Well for now I think I feel like shutting the damn thing off or see if it's possible.

*Kimberlyn's hands begin to glow and unless someone stops her well we all know what Kimberlyn an do to a magic item for a least a possible temporary fix.*

I can' see anything necromantic keeping to any sort of deal like a very good mercenary would or anything like that.

*to kimberlyn* "whoah, wait a minute, how bout we dont disenchant the potentially extreemely powerful magic item inside the keep. haste can make significant waste, and personally id rather not get whipped with a magical backlash resulting from the disenchantment of this item. im not saying the thing doesnt need a good disenchanting, and*turning to davin* I am taking this very seriously *back to kymberlin*, im just saying that we should maybe take the thing outside away from the common people before blowing it up.

I mean just think about it, how many dead magehunters have you ever heard of getting themselves dead with a silly hat on, and i'm sure the chances are way less of you being the first one then the chances that thing will kill you....

and I might even know where to find such a hat at this hour!

I don't have time for this. Back away if you don't want to get harmed. 10 feet should be good enough. I'm NOT destroying it for now I'm merely shutting it down for a bit so either one of you come up with a solution as to where to store it or I'll go to the Mage's Guild representative here and see if he has any suggestions.

*Turns to Divin and looks puzzled.*

This is the best plan I have. The more time we waist debating this the longer that trip Llyshon, Chronixx, and I need to take gets delayed.

ummm... I don't know... likely around the same time I started to find you amusing.

come to think about it, my concern for the well being of evryone seems to coinside with my finding them amusing... not certain but there may be a connection...

As a side not, silly hats are amusing, therefore those wearing silly hats are inately more amusing then those without and are therein far higher on my lists of concerns involvign the well being of said hat.. and consiquently there well being....

Is it becomeing clear yet? That hat is totaly in your own best interest!

I could take the two of us somewhere temporarily to avoid any "backlash". We'd be back in the amount of time it takes to disnchant the thing.

And if something does go crazy, it'll be somewhere out of the way.

As for your trip, I'd say you should delay a bit anyway, seeing as it's still a few hours till dawn. Plus, I should be able to sufficently enchant you then. I'm a bit tired without sleep.

hmm, perhaps you should hold off on disenchanting it for a while. if the person that gave you this charm knows you, he might know that if you found out about this items purpose you would attempt to disenchant it. perhaps this attack wasnt meant to kill you, only meant to give you a little false clue, and once you actively disenchant it it might trigger a latent effect in the item. i dont know if thats true but iv seen things disenchanted at the university before they were examined, not every time but sometimes there were latent energies trapped within the item that caused a big boom. its your call, but i'd advise identifying it before you attempt to disenchant it. if you want ill take it to get identified, but if not ill be going, FAR away before you disenchant that thing.

I like your idea. Llyshon you think we can delay just a few more hours and then take off with Chronixx. This way we have some added protection in case something happens this mission.

I myself have some resistances towards being charmed. If Eld believes we can contain the blasted thing then let us do that. Also I don't really care if they know I'm on to them, these assassination attempts need to stop.

And no, they are trying to get my attention, they are trying to kill me.
