“Well, that’s what they tell me.” Replies Thandar, “And I certainly believe them. Why else would they gift us with such fine artistry? Would you like to see?”

Before Kimberlyn can reply, he pulls open his shirt to reveal a set of manacles, indeed pictured in fine detail, tattooed on his chest directly above the heart.

“With the thorough nature of the processing we received at the Keep, I would think it’s safe to assume we all have it."

*Looks at the man*

Mind if I take a closer look?

"Certainly!" Eyebrows jump up and down. "Is it me or my tattoo?"

*Kimberlyn spends some time carefully examining the tatoo. She then grabs a stick and begins writing in the dirt as if trying to figure out something.*

*After a few minutes*

Hummm...now that does sort of make sense now doesn't it.

*Looks at Sylas*

*Mary has seen the people coming in and out of the Inn, and goes to find out what the ruckus is all about. Upon hearing that there are trouble makers and the chanting of mage-slayer in the proximity, she leaves the Inn to find out the details.
She frowns deeply at the scene of bedraggled people, the headless body on the ground cut cleanly away, and a man showing his tatoo to Kimberlyn. Sighing deeply, and bracing herself for the shit-storm envitably on it's way, she approaches Kimberlyn.

to kimberlyn---"Please tell me that this was necessary." Pointing to the body.

to the man---"Cover yourself please. Your shirt may be the only barrier protecting our noses from your stench."

*Looking at the body and back to Mary*

Yes, it was. The rogue magi first decided not to join the Guild of Mages and second decided to try to turn me into...what was the term...ah yes bacon. You want witnesses as to what occured you can ask Aurora, the guards, some of these people.

I did what I do, it's as simple as that and in direct accordence with the law where magi and all that are concerned.

As for the tatoos, I believe all of these people have them and I believe I now understand as to why. It's actually fairly facinating if you ask me. Sure gave me a moment or two of problems.

*A voice rings out from among the stinky throng*
'Well then out with it. What are the tattoos?'

*Kimberlyn walks over to Sylas and whispers in his ear.*

Thandar makes a show of smelling his pits, then staggers a bit whiile wrinkling his nose.

"Trust me madam, these clothes are thoroughly saturated with scent, and may contain no more. New stenches pass through wholly unchallenged. But I shall lace up just the same so young lasses are not tempted within my personal miasma."

*After Kimberlyn is done talking to Sylas she searches through the pockes of the rogue magi she had slain earlier to see what he has/had on him.*

*to Kimberlyn* 'Interesting.'

*to Thandar* 'Did you say you came thru the Tarragon Pass?'

Thought you might find that information interesting. If you would like Sylas we could test that other theory of mine, but I'm beginning to strongly believe that it might not be such a good idea.
