*Nyrhtak's sullen face becomes more gloomy and he grasps Sylas by the shoulder with his right hand and looks him square in the face.*

Mohdri is dead Sylas. We did everything we could to try and retrieve his head, but it was destroyed. The Dark Elf Assassin who did it will pay dearly. Very dearly indeed. In the mean time those with soothsaying are being asked to see if there is anything else we can do for Mohdri, though we believe he is lost to us now. We should prepare for funeral arrangements. We should have a gathering in his honor. The Peasants will mourn deeply the passing of one of their great heroes. We will all mourn deeply...

*Sylas looks at Nyrhtak in disbelief, then it is obvious he is crestfallen. His shoulders sag a bit more, and he turns without a word and leaves the Inn. He takes up his possition in he feild Meditating without a word*

*Nyrhtak follows Sylas out the door and sits next to him cross-legged. He does not pretend he knows how to meditate, but rather sits on the damp earth and breathes in the cold air, looking to and fro for any signs of danger.*

*Solari comes bounding out of the woods looking back over his shoulder as a wolf comes crashing through the brush and leaps through the air knocking Solari down and both roll across the ground. As they get to their feet Solari reaches out to touch the wolf but it scoots away and the wolf takes off into the forest, Solari starts to follow then notices Sylas and Nyrhtak and slows, he seems to bark to the woods and then he approaches Sylas and sniffs him and turns to Nyrhtak*

What happened? Why is Sylas so prickly? I'm used to him being gloomy but... this... this is different.

*As the wolf jumps on Solari Nyrhtak's sword moves from it's sheath to Nyrhtak's hand so quickly that the movement is almost unseen. Upon realizing the wolf is no real threat, he slowly places his sword to his side as he sits back down next to Sylas. He listens to Solari's words and states:"

Mohdri is dead.

Mohdri? NO, wha... what happened?

*Listens to the explaination*

Is there anything left of his? Maybe clothing or something that would have his scent? I want to inform the forest and the elves at the encampment, there will be much sorrow at his loss.

His body was recovered...the Dark Elf Assassin, he....he took his head and...

..he destroyed it. Nothing we are aware of outside of Necromancy can save him. If we could have found the head before it was destroyed yes, but...but we didn't.

We did find some of Mohdri's items but it doesn't matter. The more I think about the more I hate myself for not acting. I should have at least tried to run after the lizard which picked him up. Stupid heavy armor slowing me down.

And I'm with Nyrtak, that assasin will pay.

*after about 20 minutes Sylas's eyes snap open. he doesnt seem to be surprised that there are people standing around him*
