[Clonk]

Standing in the doorway, Clonk's eyes move quickly to all sides scanning the tavern.

"Has anyone seen Whisper? I must speak to her with haste."

[Gekek]

Gek looks up. "I had received a message from her so I suspect she is not in town."

OI! this time it was definitely not my fault!........most likely.

*ziggy scampers out the door to the healers tent and the smell of cooking sausages.*

[Clonk]

"Hmm. There has been an attack on the elder of Green Grove. Slain by spiders who retreat to the wood. Signs of Black Knife trouble."

"Gek. Good to see you back in town."

Raedir steps out of the kitchen, "Something happened to the elder of Green Grove? Spiders? And who is the Black Knife?"

[Clonk]

Clonk steps further in, walking towards the kitchen.

"Black Knives is assassin tribe people surprised we find in working in Tarragon Keep. Ones who try 'convert' Quinton into wererat, make one of them. Maybe they do this to elder. Constable and me arrive just in time to see spiders retreat, and elder die... his spirit was dark shadow. Not something I have ever seen."

Raedir looks upset at the mention of spiders and his death. "What kind of spiders?"

[Clonk]

Clonk holds up his hands outstretched.

"BIG spiders. But they not kill any one but elder. So they probably under a command. I find a black knife near body, used to kill several spiders before they kill him."

"I assume we need to look into this? If we do I will take care of the spiders."

[Clonk]

"Yes... this happen just as we are gathering elders of all villages to question. No doubt this all linked."

[Gekek]

"Clonk from what I remember hearing weren't the Black Knives you, Anya and Orvar found in Tarragon also killed spiders?"

[Clonk]

He nods. "The spirits I spoke with said they and Quinton killed by poison gas, and spider-things."

[Gekek]

"Did you see the elder using that black knife you mentioned to defend himself?"

[Clonk]

"We did not. I find knife near body after Constable leave me to search house. I would try to speak with his spirit but... it not seem wise to call back the shadow."

[Wrexton]

"Was Death Sight implemented on the Elder's remains?" Wrexton chimes in.
