Not new, but been gone a LONG time.
I played CARPS for about a year a LONG time ago. My name is Neil and I played a Dark Elf named Nalfien Xarann. I was considering paying a visit again and was wondering what I have to do to get squared away.
Nice to see you guys are still going strong! :)

All you gotta do is show up.
Unfortunately after such a long break were not going to have your information available. So be ready to fill out a new character sheet.
Welcome back.

As in your going to want me to start a new character entirely?

Not totally no. But as we do not have a char sheet for you we cannot know your cp total. So we will have to ball park it most likely, erring more on the conservative side.

Phew ok. That's better. I don't even know how many points you earn in roughly a year and a half of CARPS. Been a long time. Evan can vouch for me though. Kathryn would remember me too.

Oh, and to explain as I realized that probably made me sound like a power gamer. I came to the realization recently while playing other LARPS that because of my total lack of ability to run, (Chronic Heel Spurs) playing a starting level character is really really hard. You don't realize how critical something is like the ability to run until you can't. It's why I have been playing the same character at Kanar now for 10 years.

Well you were playing when we had 9-10 events a year. So i'd expect you'd have starting points, plus ballpark 12-14 events.

Yes, we had 10 events per year at that time. 9-10 to be exact. I was playing that whole time so I sent all the details I remembered to the GM staff and they'll be giving you a communication soon.

I am glad to know someone else remembers me! lol. I have some ideas for my comeback I would like to talk to the GM's about at some point. To explain why I was gone.

Alright. Bump, Because Adoven has a major hatred of Dark elves (I'm talking 5 point hatred). While I'm personally excited to see a dark elf pc, My character will not be... help?

Unfortunately, with a 5 point hatred I am pretty sure you have to kill him on sight...the constable might not like that, but who knows.
Still within the 3 event period to write out of the flaw? heh..

Yeah... but it's the majority of his back story... I mean, if someone could charm me to not hate him, that would probably work? I mean, I will literally spend 50 spell points trying to kill him.

Re: Not new, but been gone a LONG time.
You have to either accept that or re-write. You can't have the extra points and not behave appropriately. With a 5 point flaw you MUST attack.

Re: Not new, but been gone a LONG time.
I dunno if the 5 point would also allow for suicidal drive though.
if so would the 1-5 hatred look kind of like this?
5=suicide bomber hatred level
4=extremist where you will kill on sight but not at the loss of your own for theirs at the same time.
3=kill them when no one is watching or apposed
2=get out of my city or go back to where you came from mentality
1=I can't stand "those" people attitude (where you just give that race a hard time)
