The Bull hesitates a moment as something that might be construed as ‘thought’ flickers across his eyes. Then he straightens and sheaths his sword.
“I accept your apology, Elf, but mind your tongue in the future while addressing your betters.” He turns back to his caravan. “FORM UP! WE FOLLOW THE RIVER ONWARD!”

Lee looks to Kimberlyn and just grins.
I see trouble always seems to follow the descendants of Elthanar.
*He looks around to get the lay of the land, glances up into the tree, then back to the red head.*
So what happened to Midway? It didn't get burned to the soil like the last place so why the sudden change of view?

*Winter walks over to the tree where Solari is sitting and leans against it, a smirk on her face*
Why, our lovely King wanted to claim Ulric's Gift as part of his Kingdom. He needed someone to map it out, bring some sort of civility, and provide an outpost for his army while they amassed to take on the Red Tear.
*she scoffs sarcastically*
Who else but the adventurer's of Midway?

*Solari chuckles at Winter's statement and hops down and turns to the tree and places a hand gently on the bark*
Thank you for the use of your branches
*Turns to the others and waits for the wagontrain to get under way*
Yes your king has taken for his own what what given to all, while I respect that he fights the Red Tear, It seems to me more because he knows they are a very serious threat to his rule and would overwhelm the portal gaurds and rush into the heart of his kingdom. Besides, he has forsaken all of you, after promising many things, he has not delivered on any of them, and I highly doubt he plans to as long as Legacy quietly accepts being his awl and hammer he will continue to treat us all as the tools he sees us as. *Pauses and wrinkles his brow and puts hand to chin*
I fear Harrison's Folly will be a war zone sooner rather than later.
Has anyone seen Darthesis, If you do let me know where, I need to speak with him on a matter of importance.

True, but the few times I've been there it was more like Midway used to seem, everyone waiting for the other to make a move. I think the Bull there will force some of those moves to happen and things will degenrate into open violent aggression.

Last I heard, Harrison's Folly was divided into 4 or 5 sections. Now, the section where Thandar was building his tower seemed to be under his control. But, there were areas of open hostility where even Thandar admitted that who was in charge changed quite frequently. Thandar, himself, seemed only concered with his particular section.

Hearing Solari talking about his King, Daniel walks over and says a few quiet words to him.

*** Darthesis speaks up, and is seen leaning against a nearby tree.
I wouldn't say that our King has gone back on any agreement made for us. The offer was, as best I heard it "Help claim these lands in the name of the King. This great challenge will be met with great reward."
I can't say that these lands are anywhere near claimed, although I do feel progress has been made locally. Across the whole area? I feel the Red Tear has made more progress than Silverthorn.
When and if that challenge made to us is met, then the rewards shall arrive. Yes, it was not a great deal for most. For those of us who live only for challenge... then the acceptance of the offer was easy.
*** Darthesis then turns and speaks to Solari directly
I am available anytime you wish to speak.

*Solari says a few very quiet words to Daniel and claps him friendly on the shoulder and turns to talk to Darthesis chuckling slightly*
Challenge? Is that what they call a no competitor market these days? If I may have a moment of your time in private please.

*** Darthesis laughs
Ahh, you see so many things so very clearly, but there is challenge in this region, if not my competition.
You would make an excellent mercenary if we could just change your race, your heritage, your history, and your outlook on the world...
But that sharp mind... it is so wasted working for such nebulous goals.
*** Darthesis steps off to the side with Solari

*Solari laughs*
Yes, fostering peace, love, understanding and life is such a waste of time when I could be purchasing my happiness much more easily. And wouldn't you rather your competition be witless layabouts?
*Solari's word's trasil off as he steps away with Darthesis*
