Maria stands and places a hand on Llyshon's shoulder. She attempts to stand in his way should he head to another meeting spot. It is apparent that she means to be heard.

"Llyshon, long have I heard your name entwined with that of elf-friend, but now you do not represent them, nor do you protect them. This must be a grievous rift in your psyche at the moment. Do not think for one moment that you will be allowed to handle such a task on your own. As Nyrhtak has pledged, so shall I. VLO is your sword to use. I do ask one thing though....

It seems that many of our leaders and guides have gone awry, their minds perhaps tainted by Re'Gaul. Is it not possible that Sir Frederick could be as well? I do not wish to speak out against anyone, but if House DeVris has learned nothing these past moons it is this. Our leaders are being struck without their knowledge. It is as if the very chaos which Order smote, is rising within the breasts of those we trust. If your information is wrong, you lead an entire community into the dire peril, which you hope to alleviate. Is there a way for us to know that our task is righteous? What proofs have you that we do a greater service to our king by following the orders of this Sir Frederick? Please, give us the assurance we seek, or tell us how can obtain it, and you will have a happy army."

[Bruce the Lab Rat]

*Bruce waddles through the inn door, twitches his whiskers at Nyrhtak, and heads towards Mylo and the bar. He wears a tiny backpack. When he arrives at the bar, he gazes up at Mylo and begins to jump around.*

"Squickickk Nickikk squee ikkkkk!"

[Mylo Fynnigan]

*Looking into the Inn and seeing yon Lab Ratus. Mylo looks over his shoulder towards the fire pit for a moment and comes into the room. Quickly to slip around peoples and behind the bar. He looks at Bruce for a puzzled moment, and then a look of realization comes to him. His hands are deft and nimble as he quickly grabs a small metal dish and a bottle. He pours some of the liquid into the saucer type container and gingerly sets a cookie against the side of it.
Again thoughtfully he sets a broomstick from the floor to the table top in case Bruce has trouble ascending/descending. His gaze turns back to the entryway. He fidgets for a moment and then quickly grabs the bottle, tops off the saucer, and sets another half of a cookie on the other one.*

We can settle up later.... Be back in a bit..

*with that Mylo dashes back out the door of the Inn*

*Nyrhtak looks over*

Ah, heya Bruce.

[Bruce the Lab Rat]

*Bruce squeals with happiness then shimmies up the broomstick (though not without some effort). As he quickly sniffs the dish of rum, his whiskers twitch and his fur poofs out. He then nibbles his cookie. Once he finds that they are both satisfactory, he begins dipping his cookie in the rum and eating it, making happy little chittering sounds. In between bites, he waves his cookie at Nyrhtak and Solari.*

*Twilight enters the Inn in a bit of a rush - a slight look of anger in her eyes as she stops short, scans the room and calms herself before addressing all present*

Please allow me to dispel some delusions before any more talk of war should continue.

*she sighs as she looks to Llyshon*

Knight-Squire - it has come to my attention that you are warning of an army of Elves marshalling along the border of Silverthorn and Syl'Van'Dar. This is absolutely ludicrous, as the High Elves have no army, and it would take many, many moons for them to gather one. Now, an army of Silverthorn troops, that I would believe. If this is indeed an army of Elves, then it must be a masquerade of Regal's minions.

*she looks from Mary to Llyshon before addressing everyone*

Furthermore, I believe I just heard the words, 'Elf Friend'. If indeed my ears have not betrayed me, allow me to clarify that 'Elf Friend' simply means 'Shardalana Friend', for the High Elves have no such Title among them. It was fabricated by Shardalana, much the same way that her House Denalora was fabricated ... along with her silly notion of 'soul mates' ... among a great many other things.

*she looks to Daniel*

As the Head of House Toevass, please make a note of that. I would hate for that delusion to spread any further, as it is an insult against all High Elves to hear it.

*she turns back to Llyshon as an afterthought*

One more thing. You are a Knight-Squire, are you not? Until you obtain the Title of Full Knight, you would do well to clarify your standing with those who may be confused - for the crime of Impersonating Someone of Higher Standing is not looked upon lightly here.

*He shrugs*

I just thought he was friendly with some Elves. By the by, who's this Shardalana I hear everyone speaks so....

*he grins*

wait, you sure you know which border they are on Llyshon? I would hope that you haven't confused the High Elves with the Fire Elves?

*Eyes grow wide to see how much Bruce has grown in so short of a time, then smiles at him, and tips his own flask to the little-big fella.*

*Pays close attention to the words that Twilight says, and nods to Twilight about the 'elf friend' thing.*

"Huh, I did not know that, thank you Twilight, you never seem to stop amazing me... Have you ever considered being a member of house Toevass? We can always use someone as wise as you. There is much we could learn together.

As for the 'elf friend, I always thought it simply meant that a lot of elves liked him. I never assumed it carried any title or anything of that nature, like the dwarfs do.

And all I know of this Shardalana is what I have heard from the ToeVass records. That she was a spy for someone, and vanished before she could be questioned.

“As for being a weapon? Well unless my commanders call me back to war, I have no intention of attacking anyone, who does not actually pose a threat to my kingdom. We have fought along side the elves against a great many foes, for far to long to march against them. In the end I think that Squire Lyshon is looking to defuse this whole bloody mess, not stir it up. Mayhaps we should give him a chance? I personally do not know him very well, and have only heard a little, but from what I have seen of him, his actions suggest that he fights for Silverthorne, and the betterment of our people. Why not attend this counsel, instead of bickering amongst ourselves, and together we can stop Regal’s vile plan.”

*Twilight seems to calm a bit as she smiles to Daniel*

There was a time when joining House Toevass was a possibility for me ... but I fear that time passed long before you arrived here in Midway.

*she appears to meditate for a bit before turning her attention back to those gathered*

I did not mean to deflate the urgency of the situation, but merely to put things into perspective. Of course I intend to hear what everyone has to say - and assist in the defense of this Kingdom. I simply wish you all to be as informed as possible - so as to prevent anyone from rushing off to their premature death.

Course, if there's an army of Re'Gaul's creation, illusioned as an Elven army waiting at our borders...I still see a need for concern and the need to prepare for attack.

*Solari's mouth opens then he listens to the others and after Nyrhtak finishes he steps into the Inn and speaks*

Llyshon, I do not question your honor, only the information that you bring. If you cannot see the difference then I am sorry. I question this information because as Twilight says it sounds amiss, never have I heard of the elves having a standing army that they can marshall, not in the 100+ years that the mother has seen fit to keep me in the cycle. You say that the Elves probably will not listen to talk of subterfuge but the attempt should still be made. I understand that as a knight-squire you are you are apt to take your commander's words as absolute truth. I am not bound by those ties so I speak the question in my mind. I have no desire to dishonor you in any way and I believe that you have both humanities and Silverthorns best interest at heart, all I ask is that this information is verified before it is spread throughout the kingdom because whether or not the Elves are on Silverthorns borders once it is spread that they are it will not be long before Silverthorn, if not the armies the people, is on theirs.
