A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)
First - in the section on Combining Crafting Skills, it says that
Also, I have a character concept that is very interested in lore and learning - old Scroll-making sounded like a good fit, and new Relic Crafting also seems relevant. How do crafting skills mostly work economically? Do I need a higher rank in the skill to make something people are willing to pay a bit of coin for? Wondering whether I can expect a steady income with which to pay my upkeep.
Also (sorry, not crafting I know) when benefiting from Spell Armor and regular worn armor, how is it determined from which pool armor points are removed first (since they are apparently restored/refitted separately)?
Does this mean that 1 character does not need to meet all of the requirements themselves ... ie a Relic Crafter of high rank, without the master one-shot that specifically allows this, could work with a less skilled relic crafter who can cast the spell that is to be scribed? Two or more crafters may combine the same skill to create something together. They
must meet all of the requirements between them for the project and each person working
on the project must contribute at least 1PP.

Re: A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)
Correct on the crafting cimbination.
I would say yes on selling even low level relics
It is your choice which takes damage first but should remain consistent.

Knowledge (and Tomecraft) - these can be used for skills that the user does not know? So a tome could be written to teach/improve on Slay, although I do not myself know the skill?
In the same vein, both specify they cannot increase PP/Mana - what about HP (Toughness) and Armor Points (Soldier/Scout Armor Training)?

Correct on tomecraft.
They can be used on "soak" skills.

Re: A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)
Thanks again!
I have another one - can a character benefit from Tomecraft even if they do not have an appropriate Read/Write skill (or possibly an item that grants Read/Write)?
I will try to make that my last one this week!

Re: A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)
Since the skill indicates that the tome must be read I would say they need to have some means of reading it. I would also say that if a language is not specified on the tome that it defaults to Silverthorne Common.
So you could write a tome in Lorecrafter if you wanted, and only people who can read Lorecrafter could benefit from it but you would need to specify that on the crafting tag otherwise it will default to Silverthorne common.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Re: A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)
Looking to craft a staff; looking at the phys rep specification it isn't 100% clear and I don't want to make it wrong. Should it be 1/2" or 3/4" on the CPVC core? Looking at 74" total length/68" pipe length so I think CPVC is still considered ok?
Looked at this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ6GKC4SrPA and they suggested 2 other things - a wood dowel in about 2/3 of the internal length to help limit 'whippy-ness' and strapping tape to help improve longevity. Are either or both of those kosher for this group? Totally new to the world of larp weapons.

3/4" pipe
Dowel is fine just make sure it will not slide
Strapping tape on the pipe not the foam

Hozier - Arsonist's Lullaby wrote:When I was a man I thought it ended
When I knew love's perfect ache
But my peace has always depended
On all the ashes in my wake
All you have is your fire
And the place you need to reach
Don't you ever tame your demons
But always keep them on a leash
