This is mostly in regards to the spell, but can be applied generally. Winged flight takes a 5 count to take off or land. I was informed that non-winged does not require this. It does need to have at least a 1 count though, since otherwise it can be used it defensively (I did this with Ken once accidently and realized it is as bad as the old stone shield I had).

If it does take a count then that would be good to know, since the spell itself doesn't really tell you how that all works. Might be nice to add this to both flight spells if they aren't already there.

i would think it should be a 5 count for winged and non since the 5 count I see as more of the time it takes to get out of melee range from ground based attackers. Once the 5 count is done and un-intreupted then its as if the target is no longer in ground to air melee range. With a 1 count it's an insta get out of combat spell against non ranged opponenets.

Just checked the rulebook. It is a 2 count for magical flight for take-off and landing and a 5 count for winged flight.

Also, winged flight takes more time to turn and is in general more lumbering than magical flight.
