Known information:

At the time of the Silverthorne war with Gromm, King Rodrick (King of the Avyanna) refused to publicly ally itself with Gromm for fear that Gromm would loose the war (good bet). Instead he secretly sent in gold and supplies and some of his best and brightest men to learn from the hoard's ruler and to command his troops for him. Among these men being sent in was a young captain named Nehpets. (Lore will gain more information about further background of Nehpets prior to this war.)

After the death of Gromm the hoard surrendered and most returned to their homelands. A few stayed on in the Kingdom of Silverthorn where they were they were allowed as long as they pledged to not raise arms against the Kingdom. Rather than returning home Nehpets formed a small mercenary band with some of his surviving soldiers. Just as the group was starting to make a name for itself, it was mysteriously slain.

While no evidence of its existence has ever been proven, rumor has it that a group of individuals known only as the "Huntsmen" were taking revenge upon those that waged war against Silverthorn, despite the fact that the war was long over. It's believed this group hunted down commanders of enemy armies after wars the killed them. Rumors went so far as to say that entire battalions disappeared while in the process of being disarmed. Again no evidence of this was ever found.


Nearly a decade later the forces of Rodrick laid siege upon the lands known as Alric's gift and directly upon the Red Tear whom at the time had nearly taken control of it. Seen as villains and as saviors, the forces of the Avyana arrived during the Blood Moon just in time to push back the Red Tear as it appeared Legacy would fall to it. Seizing control of the town the Avyanna asserted that they now owned the land. Their victory was short lived, as they had allied themselves with an army of Dark Elf casters who quickly turned upon them and joined the Red Tear. Caught by surprise the army of Avyanna now called upon the citizens of Legacy to save them. Most of the army did not make it out alive. What few remained now found themselves confronted by two new foes, an army of the "savage" lizard men, later to be identified as Kunapan, whose cities they had been destroying to resupply their campaign and an army of Silverthorn which had arrived to fend off the various armies. Given little choice the highest ranking commander of the Avyanna army left alive did the Avyanna thing and turned tail feather and ran for home, with the Kunapan in hot pursuit.

Out of this time of darkness for the Avyana a man known, at the time, only as "the General" arose and took command of the fallen Avyanna army. Backed by the first son of Rodrick, this General rallied the forces. Under his leadership and regained control he turned the tide of the loosing battle against the Kunapan and saved a majority of the Avyana kingdom's forces from being cut off from their home land and destroyed, but not before a group appeared in his camp and killed the crown prince. Seeing another army of Kunapan approaching he pulled his forces back into the passes of their home land, know as Havoc Pass, and held off the far greater odds. In the process it was discovered that this General was Nehpets of Mahuru. How did he escape when the rest of his original band were murdered? How did he become the general of the Avyanna army? What does he want? And how is he involved with the people of Midway/Legacy? Only time will tell.
