C.A.R.P.S.

I have been thinking and would like to kick some ideas around on how to get the town more orginized. It seems there are many people asking for our help and do to bad communication the majority of us are not aware of these requests. And we need to devlope a battle stragety. We have been way to disorginized on the battle field which has lead to town members deaths.

Do folks have any suggestions?

*Res calls out from the back of the tavern*, "Yeah, I got one. Put someone in charge for when there's a big threat. And by 'someone', I mean, 'someone besides Res.'"

That is what I been thinking to. We need a couple of people to be battle leaders of the town. Their job is to orginize the town and direct people in a large battle. A centeral point of comand.
Than we need a hand ful of people that can gather people's requests and send groups of people out to help. And they make sure information is being shared and keep the communication lines open between the town folks.

How this is done, I do not know. But are there anyone who is interested?

What about you Edrick? you seem to have a good head on your shoulders.

I do have a good head on my shoulders for taxes! I could be interested becasue I'm sick and tired of seeing so many town members falling in battle. But if there is others who would like to do it, I will suppot them fully.

*Valkren pipes up*

"I have a bit of military experience, and I wouldn't mind taking charge. Just for attacks on the town. I just need to get to know everyone better, so I know how better to deploy out forces."

Stag head pops up from behind his book.

"I will head up the battle group that hides in the woods."

*edrial looks up from the corner where he seemed to be napping*
I would be willing to help get people organized and mobile in times of crisis as well. I was raised in a mercenary company so I have some experience with dealing with mixed skill sets and motivations. Not so much with the being a central hub of information, I find myself more drawn to going out and helping rather than sitting inside and being a spy master.

Well shit, you've got to think I'd be stupid if I'd let everyone else do all the fighting.

*Looks at Edrial*

Someone's gotta be inside for coordination purposes.

*Res idly glances at Valkren and looks him over for a few seconds, then states,* "I vote for this guy." *He motions at Valkren with his mug of ale*, "Because in a crisis, putting a complete stranger in charge of all of our lives is a fantastic idea."

*looks a little chagrinned at res's statement, even though it wasn't aimed at edrial*
Guess I should take a step back and wait. I have only been in town two moons so far, not really well enough to know many people or have the towns trust.
*nods at res*

Stag smiles at Edrial.

"I've seen whats his name a total of two minutes. I've seen you in battle. You aren't untested."

To be honest, we will need a couple of people to do these jobs. If you willing to orginize and shout orders, I have no problem. With time, your true colors will shine through, so I say let who ever is willing to try.

(OOG - I would love to see new folks in these roles. It is fun if it is new. Many of the old time players have done it before and I say it is time for the new folks to step in!)

"How about we make them paid positions? I nominate Ziggy and Mr. Green as the information gatherer and brokers. They seem to be in the Inn often enough to collect information from people coming in looking for help."

"I'd do it for free. As long as we get to beat the living shit out of something, and we don't die in the process, I'd love to shout orders and command troops."
