My friends, thank you for coming and listening. There has been some confusion with the tax increase Mr Green announced 3 moons ago. The Thane never wanted to increase the towns taxes. The Thanes plan was to increase the tax rate for anyone who wants to setup shop in the new merchant district. The merchants tax rate would be increased to 35%. The extra revenue from the taxes would help cover the cost of the merchant district. The tax increase boils ddown to 5% for guilds and 10% for a house. So this means, everyones taxes are back to normal unless you plan on selling in the new merchant district.
