A massive female barbarian in robes of fur and hide barges into the Inn.

“BERA BRIGHTSTAR SEEKS OLAF STARWARRIOR! WHERE IS HE!?!”

Olaf stands quickly, knocking the bench he had been sitting on (and the other people on it) to the ground. Ivar and Kavar are still in his arms.

“Mother? What are you doing in these lands? But I am Olaf of the Sky, not this ‘Starwarrior’.”

Bera strides forward, wrapping arms around Olaf and lifting him in a bear hug. Olaf holds the kids to either side to avoid crushing them.

“Bera comes to find you, of course! My brave, brave son! Your fame knows no bounds in the Northlands!” She puts him down and appraises him with narrow eyes. “’of the Sky’? Seriously? Olaf never good at names. ‘Starwarrior’ suits you much better.”

Olaf jabs a finger at her. “Only because it has ‘star’ in it and you like stars! Bera has no say in Olaf’s name! Name belong only to Olaf!”

Bera no longer appears to be listening, as her attention has turned to the pair of tots. Her eyes brighten as a grin grows upon her features. “Are these yours? Have you claimed them?”

Olaf, too, beams with pride. “Of course! They are Ivar the Left and Kavar the Right. They are my sons!”

Bera laughs mischeviously. “Then our clan grows earlier then thought! No matter. Any woman from any tribe will still fight tooth and nail to be mated with the legendary Olaf Starwarrior –“

“Olaf of the Sky.”

“- regardless if he has other children or not!”

Olaf laughs heartily, reaches over, and pulls Va close to him. “Olaf all ready promised to another! Mother, meet Vanaak the Unbreakable! She is to be my wife once our family has journeyed to the Northlands!”

All humor leaves Bera Brightstar. She takes a step back as her features harden to stone. “No, Olaf. This cannot be.”

Olaf, too, loses all mirth as confusion takes over. “But it will. We are family. We *will* be mated.”

“She is an orc.”
“She is strong.”

“She will destroy you.”

“Our love will protect us.”

Bera shakes her head and her scowl deepens. “Vengeance of Roarik Battlewagon, Olaf. You know the tale. It has always been your favorite. You know full well the folly of Orc unions. You KNOW there can be only tragedy!”

“Olaf is STRONG, mother. Va is STRONG! We WILL endure!”

“Uther Splitfist also has made an Orc his mate.” Bera declares with a sneer. “She held out for several years but during the last rutting season lost control and took another. Many know this, but not yet Uther. He soon will. And you will be there to witness firsthand what follows.”

Olaf’s conviction seems to weaken. “Mother… I cannot do that… I cannot leave my family.”

Bera’s eyes flash. “You WILL, Olaf. They are not yet your family – nor will they be if I can prevent it! Bera Brightstar will *make* this happen, for she will not see her son fall like Roarik Battlewagon! Now COME!”

Olaf hands his children to Va, locking eyes with her before Bera reaches out to her son, and together the pair suddenly vanish from the Inn.

[Edrial]

*blinks a few times from the table he was at and murmurs*
Well, you don't see that every day.

*Edrick raises his mug to Olaf*

Vaanak bursts out the door after them her body flooded with an anger that she's never known.

"OLAF!" she barks looking around for him and his mother. All she can see is red and wants nothing more than to pummel this woman into the ground.

[Vaanak]

Vaanak knows Olaf cannot be far away and starts to yell into the open sky knowing he can hear her.

"Olaf! You say you are strong yet you run away because mother said so!?" Tears start to pour down her face. "You say you have honor! Then how can you run away from those you love!? You told me the story of Roarik Battlewagon! That is not our fate! This rutting season it was me who was true while you rutted with others!" She drops to her knees. "Don't leave!" The twins have started crying as well their mother's screaming not agreeable to their small ears.

(OOG: Vaanak will exhaust all her abilities to track Olaf and his mother)

(Vanished as in disappeared. Teleported.)

*Aroura comes running from the direction of the mage's tower, since I am assuming when va screams it is very loud.*

Va what is wrong? what happened? *Aroura tries to help her up, and offers to hold one of the babies if Va allows*

[Vaanak]

Vaanak glances around at the ground and stands up a few minutes later. She looks over at Aurora.

"Tell me where they went." Her voice is ice cold and filled with anger. It's clear it's not directed at Aurora however. The twins continue to scream however Vaanak ignores them.

where who went? how many. do you know what direction they went? do you need me to track or trace a telepport?

[Vaanak]

Vaanak points at the ground showing Aurora the footprints. "Olaf. Olaf and his mother. They teleported." She doesn't dare say anything else for fear of lashing out in anger.

*Agmundr come walking up the way as he hears Va yelling. He rushes up to where he can see what is going on.*

"Va what is going on?"

*at the sound of spellcasting edrial emerges from the tavern and sees aurora*

I have traced the teleport to one spot, Give me a moment to ask the runes a question.

*stares into the sky, soothsay 5pt, in what direction is the location I just trace teleported* (no skry shield on me)

*Looks at Vaanak* It seems they teleported in that (points towards the barbarian lands) direction. I believe that is the direction to the barbarian home lands, I have been there before, but I cannot get there in the ammount of magic I have left. I can get you closer if you want.

Vaanak nods. "Take me there now." she pauses for a moment and looks at Aurora. "Thank you."
