Gambling Writ

What kind of writ do you need for gambling?

To legaly gamble, you must be playing with a person or be in an establishment that has a write to gamble. All final wining must be taxed and a ledger must be kept by the person who has the writ.

So if you gamble and do not have a write, you should get your winning minus the taxes and the professional gambler tkaes care of paying the taxes and the books. If you do not win, then there is no taxes.

So if I wanna do stuff where yous bet for money I can just get a writ for "gambling"? Can mandylore give it to me?

WHAT? Gambling has never been taxed unless there is a "house". House here meaning an establishment that's business is gambling. Person to person gambling has never been taxed in the history of Midway/Legacy/Elthanar and beyond. There is no buying / selling of goods or services when two people sit down and gamble.

Well I'd say then Ed's correct on that point. But if he's telling me I can't gamble now w/o his fingers getting into my pouch we're gonna have an issue.

Sorry, what I meant to say, is if you open up an establishment for gambling which you are there to make profit, than that is taxable. But games between folks is not taxable. To much grey area to try to collect axes on. Sorry for the confusion. :D

I guess I shouldn't be drinking so heavily and then try to make sense.

And yes, Daniel, you are right. grin...
