Town guard recruitment

*Lochlainn posts a notice up in the Inn and reads it aloud for those who can't read it themselves.*

"As you all know, the position of the Captain of the Guard has been vacant for some time now. I am looking to find someone to fill this position by the next gathering a little over a month from now. All interested parties may contact me privately and we can discuss the position, further."

"Also, we are needing to bolster the ranks of the town guard itself. I am looking for anybody interested in being paid to protect the town as a member of the guard to come see me as well. If you are a member of a mercenary group, we can even discuss setting up a contract to hire your group on as town guard."

"If you are new to town, feel free to come and see me about either of these positions. All are welcome to apply. Thank you."

I may have to take you up on that offer in order to repay the baron for the werewolf potion money.

I still have a lot of the herbs left. Maybe you can get a refund on the left over ones.

Actually, no. Lets keep a hold of those for future. In fact I'm thinking the local alchemist guild should hold onto those herbs and possibly make a few more potions. We mostly adverted this crisis, but there's always a next time.

*Vaellar looks over*

"I still havent been paid for my work on that, and since its the baron's money I most certainly want to get paid. It always makes me happy to take money from someone who hates mages but then needs us to help fix his problems and keep his barony safe.

I know you told me to go to Daniel but I just didnt have time this past gathering and I dont know if he still has the funds or not."

Yes before all the herbs are 'spoken for' I would think we would want to divine that we got every last one of the ones who were actively trying to spread the infection. I know the leader was truly and actively trying to spread it and he is now gone, but let's make sure this will not start up again in the next moon before we let go of the last of our Wolfsbane.

*Res interjects from the back of the bar*, "Did someone say they needed scrying done? I just happen to have some extra juice and an empty wallet."

We really do need members of da guard. If you have any questions or even just a little interested in not letting our town be ravaged by random monsters you should come to us!

"Well Thorg, if you are interested in joining the guard come talk to me when you have a chance. Being in the town guard is normally voluntary and you can feel free to leave at anytime should you find your interests leading you elsewhere."
