C.A.R.P.S.

Sophia strides into the tavern followed closely by two guards. She fans herself gently in the summer heat and looks out at the people assembled in the tavern.

"I'm looking for Mr. Jack Maxwell. Can anybody tell me his whereabouts?"

*Jack steps outside of the Tavern*

"I believe I know his location, my Lady Sophia. I'm here and at your service."

*A smile rests on Jacks face as Jack approaches the nobleman. Jack bows and speaks*

"My Lady."

Sophia grins from ear to ear as Jack approaches her. With a girlish giggle she holds out her hand to him.

*Jack takes hold of her hand and kisses it gently. Standing Jack offers his arm and smiles*

"It is good to see you. May I offer you a glass of wine my Lady?"

She takes his arm and dismisses her guards who go stand outside the tavern.

"Yes you may. A glass of wine sounds lovely."

*Jack escorts the lady inside the tavern and orders two glasses of wine. Offering Lady Sophia a seat Jack speaks still smiling*

"What may I do for you my Lady?"

"Such formalities Jack, are they really nessicary?" Her voice is low as if she doesn't want anyone to overhear her. She sits down in the offered seat and begins to sip at the wine Jack orderd for her.

"More often then not Lady Sophia." Jack sits down next to her his hands in his lap and smiles again. "Perhaps after our wine and your feet are rested from you journey; You would like to go for a walk in the forest. It is such a beautiful day after all." Jack drinks from his glass.

"Ah a walk with Jack Maxwell. I've heard stories as to how these turn out." she chuckles to herself as if musing over some private joke.

"I think a walk sounds lovely Jack. If I may be so bold and call you that."

"Of course you may Lady Sophia, if it pleases you. When you are ready I'll gladly escort you through Midway and the forest on her doorstep." Jack smiles as warmly as he can and takes another drink from his glass.

Sophia pouts slightly that Jack is still being so formal but decides not to press the issue. She takes her time finishing the wine and then turns to look at Jack.

"Whenever you are ready Mr.Maxwell."

*Jack downs the rest of his wine in one gulp, and stands offering his hand to Lady Sophia*

"Then shall we?"

Sophia takes his hand.

"Lead on Mr.Maxwell."

*With a large smile Jack walks Lady Sophia out the door of the tavern and into the town of Midway*

"Do you have a specific destination in mind or is it going to be a surprise?" She is upset that the guards still follow them but tries to hide it. Sophia is smiling a mile wide to be on Jack's arm.
