A herald enters town

Post by X-GM Brian »

*A man in the colors of the messengers guild enters town and unrolls a parchment. He steps up to the tree near the Inn and clears his throat preparing to yell loudly*

"HEAR YE HEAR YE! By order of House Mandalore the 29th day of the 7th month shall be declared a Kingdom wide Marketday. A public auction is to be organized by local Mandalore members for any who wish to participate in this event. The set tax rate for this event and this event only shall be 15 percent. All items are to be of a minimum quality, having a value of at least 5 Verlan, if an individual item is not of sufficient worth by itself it may be bundled with other items to meet the reserve. All members of Mandalore are required to assist in organizing and running this event, and all proceeds are to be delivered immediately to your superiors."

*The messenger after having delivered his message vocally proceeds to tack the decree to the Tree, leaving it for others to read later"

Ok Folks, this will be fun. Wow, 15%, first time this has happened, so join in and save some hard cold cash.

Here is the plan. There will an acution at 10:00pm Friday night

If you want to acution stuff, please let me know what you want to sell. You will need to show up at your acution time and show case your item or items for the crowd. And then the bidding will be started. The acution will go until everyone who is signed up has a chance to sell.

Also please let me know if there is a minium sell price your items need to sold for.

Mandilore will provide currence exchange for free during the acution. Please note gems are an acution item, not a crrence exchange.

The acution will take place outside neaar the fire pit.

Enforcers, you will be required to attend both acution times to provide security and help with the acution.

Let me know if there is any questions and let the bidding begin

My problem is that doesn't give me a chance to make anything really nifty! The next night would be better for us people that need some time in the lab.

I may have some small items for it, but not enough time has elapsed to make an item of significance.

OK folks, I only have two people willing to acution stuff off. The items are some mystery potions and some minor magic items. Does any one else have anything they want to acution for a 15% tax rate??

Nobody from the house has stepped up besides Maka. It's short notice and I don't know how folks stock piles are. I just sold a bunch of stuff this last moon so I have nothing to offer at this time.

But the acution is mostly for non Mandilore folks. It is rare you will see a 15% tax rate. So take advantage of it!

Something just doesn't feel right about this. I'm not sure what it is, but my senses are tingling. I'll see what if anything I have to offer, but I wouldn't count on anything from me unless you hear for sure.
