COA

Post by Edrick Stormbane »

*One night as folks drink in the Inn*

Of folks, we had a good plan for attacking the COA. Is anyone interested in still going? It would be a test of you skill and to see what loot could be found. It would be a profit run only.

I would say the same rules would apply the Daniel stated before.

Anyone interested?

Here is the list so far
Edrick
Daniel
Chronix
Rooks
Klog
Res
Maka
Kathyrn
Olaf
Darthesis
Jason
Hamilcar
Eld

Willing to lend aid for small part of the loot
Boomer
Maven

I go, but ONLY if I get some sort of priority on getting at least one item. I've been on many quests but never given a piece of equipment from one of them. I just want ONE nice thing I didn't have to buy.

I can't guarnantte how loot is split up. It is up to the folks who clear the floor with you on how it is split up. But I think folks will be willing to work with you. Typicaly the item's go to the folks that need them. Since you do not have much equipment, you should be toward the top of the list!

Wait... wait...

Why is the loot divided by floors?

It should be all thrown into a big pile, and then divvied up amongst everyone that contributed. The people that got to the bottom levels wouldn't have been able to get there without those of us at the top taking hits for them.

I agree with Res. You'll never catch me in that pit but I do agree.

Maven and I would be more than happy to again spend multiple days heavily researching the cave and help teach those who go in how to more effectively utilize their skills in that setting. All we would ask in return is a half a share each.

That's true, they wouldn't. And that's why they don't get a share of the upper floors... because they didn't take the hits.

I've seen this done both ways people, and it can get UGLY when everyone is fighting over everything. It turns into a bidding war of who can put in the most gold to get the best items and then the new adventurers get left in the cold... having taken all those hits.

I think it is foolish to risk your life for magical trinkets. What good do magical tidbits do a corpse?

Yes, but while new adventurers wouldn't have the cash to bid on the high-value items, we would get cold hard cash, and that's something that most certainly agrees with me at least.

Yes, this is all about the treasure that can be found. Yes you will risk your life. Yes the treasure could be grand.

If you do not like how the treasure is being split, than don't go. It's that simple. Or create a group that goes in with your own rules.

I realy don't care if I only make it through the first level or get down to the 5th. The risk increases more per level and takes more resources to surive. The folks on level 3 spend more resources and have a greater chance of not coming out alive than the folks on level 1.

This is the greatest treasure hunt, and want to test my skills against this lengend!
