Another Option

Post by Kreed »

*Adoven, After seeing Vaellar get on the table, Decides it's the best way to convey his message to the crowded inn, He hops up on his table*

Friends, With what I have just heard about this cave, we may be wasting resources, and possibly lives, if there is an alternative route which we might take. There is always the possibility of the magic dead cell. I'm sure if we worked on the plan, we could figure it out. We can save the cave as a back up if we can't figure it out.

The magic dead zone will not work. The necromancer will simply resist the spell by using up the life of a child and move from the area.

If a magic dead zone is moved or placed upon you you can resist the very magic that created the 'anti-magic'.

If you are being moved into a magic dead area then anyone reasonably skilled will notice this and can react by jumping back in time to prevent the magic dead zone from affecting you. A necromancer of his power could do this an unlimited number of times until he had no living babies attached to him.

Other options should certainly be explored, but not in public.

Interesting I was un-aware how magic dead zones worked. For another thing I recall happening before was when someone just pointed at a necromancer and nulled all of their magical abilities. Where i get confused was that the mage hunters are allowed to have this ability if i recall but are not allowed to wield magic.

So how does that work for the necromancer stopping that from happening? Since from what i understand it's not magic thats being used but some other skill.

Exactly, I believe there are alternate options we can explore. What exactly do this flower do?

We will not discuss the other options in public. We do have a few tricks up our sleeves rest assured. But having the flower is most assured solution and the more solutions we have the better. If you do not want to go the Cave of the Ancients no one is making you. And as far as throwing our lives away, I have never left a fallen adventurer to the Cave, nor do I plan to.

Just so you know, we tried a great many things on the necro including this pointing and turning off his magic idea. It didn't work, he simply ate another baby. I'm convinced that the solution is to either kill him by killing all the babies he is wearing and then him or get the flower.

This is, as I mentioned, the only place it can grow. I don't know why.
