and i cant remember if town guardsmen pay taxes on there pay?

No, gaurds, captains, or the constable do not pay taxes on there pay. Taxes are what pay for the constable, gaurds and captains.

Sauntering over to Edrick, still grinning like a fiend and hips swaying akin to sloughing ale, she leans a not-so-steady arm on his shoulder.
