C.A.R.P.S.

*Lenus walks into the tavern and posts a notice near the job board (written in Common, Gnomish, Wood Elven, and High Elven), then turns and reads it out loud to anyone who is there.*

"To anyone who is interested, Lenus Gaul, Evocationist, is looking for a mercenary company in need of a mage. Any interested parties, please contact me at the mage's guild tower."

*Res nods in Lenus' direction*, "You got a specialty? Fire? Water?" *He studies the mage for a few moments from behind a mug of ale*, "And how good are ye?"

*Lenus turns to Res.*

"No, I'm actually a universalist still, but I am thinking about specializing as an evocationist soon. As for how good I am, I'm a master of spell power and an expert with intensity."

*Res grunts and eyes the mage appraisingly for a moment, then pats the seat next to him*, "Grab a seat. Lets gab a bit about it. I'm sure I can use someone that knows how to throw a big boom spell now and then."

"Then I would be your mage."

*Lenus walks over and sits next to Res*

*Res nods, lifts up his mug of ale, and grins*, "Good! You can start by buying me a round before we head to the back to discuss the particulars."

*Lenus looks towards the bar and gets the bartender's attention, motioning for one more for Res.*

Jewels pours another round for res rubbing his fingers together at lenus with a smile

Cudar pats Lenus on the shoulder as he sits down on the opposite side of the elf from Res.

"He's our new recruit? You should almost assuredly learn the spell that lets you ward off sleep. Might come in useful."

Cudar passes Jewels a verlan and then sets a mug on the bar in front of him.

"One for me and something not too strong for this one. He faints at the lightest touch, probably can't handle his liquor. So, just what can you do? Aside from failing terribly at burning spider webs?"

*Lenus sits there and listens to Cudar speak, his face slowly turning more and more red.*

"So Res, he's one of the people you work with? In that case, we're done here."

*He stands up and walks out the front door towards the mage's guild tower.*

Daniel looks up from his book and smiles at the pair, "well that was smooth guys... very smooth. You find this recruiting technique works well on the ladies too?"
