"HA! You take Thane's words too strongly! Certainly the women and children who fight are worthy of death in battle! But once the last of the warriors is done, then so, too is the battle. That is what he says! No point, of course, in killing those who cannot fight! The remainder are the prize of the victor! Perhaps some of them will later learn the ways of war and seek out Olaf for vengeance! Olaf will meet them gladly on that day!"

[Hector]

"I think it is you who does not understand, Olaf. If I understand your meaning, Thane William, you intend to kill all who bear the name 'Donnell', regardless of age, occupation, or marshal prowess. Is this correct?"

[NPC Brodie]

"Aye, the clan of fifty or so is mostly made up of warriors, but the women and a few of the youngers will give ye trouble if ye try anything."

[olaf]

Olaf frowns. "Hmm... Fighting the clan would be fun... but there is no glory in killing those who cannot fight - that is not battle. Olaf will not do this."

[AlexV]

Swift frowns.

"Olaf. Mighty warrior that you are, why don't we go fight the warriors in glorious battle. I will make sure that we get paid in full for this job."

[NPC Brodie]

"Glad tae see there are still a pair of ye with spine. Do ye think ye'll be able to handle them all just the two of ye? Or have ye idea where ye can get more warriors? If you're insufficient, I could give ye part of the coin and hire some other mercenaries with the rest."

[olaf]

"Hmm. Two against 50? That's 25 for each. If goblins, sure, but they not goblins. If they fight one at a time, sure, but they not fight one at a time. If we fight all 50 at once, we should have 10 for good, epic battle. Could make do with eight. That just 6.25 for each."

"But only if weak and pathetic foes are taken captive! Slaughtering those who can't or won't fight back sucks all the glory out of a fight!"
