"Would anyone here be kind enough to point me in the direction of whoever is in charge of the local Mages guild?"

"Is this town really as exciting as everyone says? I hope so, I've been looking for some interesting times."

*not even looking up from a well worn book he's been scribbling in*

"I was told that if I want to use magic around here, I need to register with the mages guild or one of the houses. I'm not much of a fan of the houses and all their politics, I just want to cast some spells and take care of my business."

*Res nods*

I see... so to avoid the politics of the Houses you're gonna join a guild whose sole reason for existence is to keep a paranoid eye on anyone who casts in order to keep them under their control... and is also involved in politics.

*Res chuckles* Well, more power to ya. The local guild people are pretty nice, and I'm good friends with most of them, but their superiors can be real assholes.

But if you want to find Aurora I can take you to her easy.

*Aroura speaks up from the rafters*

I do like to think I keep the politics of the mages guild to a minimum in regards to what the town has to deal with.
