"It don't think so Daniel, What could elementalists have to do with children? Although I could be mistaken."

I recall back before the shift when the guild needed muscle for those times when they'd cast so much they had exhausted themselves and so they had their mage hunters. Maybe they replaced them with a new mixed warrior mages after you know the king moved the hunters to DeVriss. I mean aside from Rooks who doesn't really count in any normal conversation anyway, how many mages do you see walking around in armor?

"Boy, you are I assume a member of the guild? If not then you have much to answer for. Casting without membership is a crime. Further more if you are a member you will need to learn to respect your superiors. As to your question Daniel, your assumption is partly correct. The Sentinels are a more action oriented segment of the guild. It just so happens that elementalists fit well in this segment."

*Adoven looks back to Garen Aythereon, Clearly savoring the smoke filling his lungs. He exhales slowly, then replies*

"Of course I am registered, My parents aren't going to be thrilled, but I am a member"

*Suddenly vanishing, he reappears a few seconds later with his papers, and hands them to Garen Aythereon*

"Signed by the Archon Aurora"

*He smiles gleefully*

*Adoven looks unperturbed *

"What lack of respect? Implying that I have disrespected you and disrespecting you are two completely different things"

"You come in here, getting dirt all over the floor, and call me disrespectful? Ah, The irony is thick. Although to be fair, there was dirt on the floor before your arrival. So you're my superior eh?"

(pours a mug of dwarven)

here is about the strongest thing I have on hand at the moment you may want to stop by in a few weeks for something new I am making.

I plan to call it orc blood if it turns out well if not I'll have to start over.

The armor you have on did you make it or did someone else. Just curious on who made that work of art.

Daniel, I will be joining the second group into the cave. Do not worry the fees are already paid for my attendance and for my part your rules of loot dispersal seem fair.

(Daniel moves all things list related to a list jots down in his notes: please use other post going forward.)

At the Sentinel: "You know the more I think on it the more the word Sentinel sounds like something I've heard. However, despite my best reckoning of all things political I've not seen any ranks assigned in the guild charters mentioning Sentinel anywhere. Seems to me they are not listed in your structural charts anywhere at all for that matter. And far be it for me to interfere in your guild's business, aside from the occasional converting of your members, but if there's no formal titles listed anywhere how would one such as this fellow here know you out rank him? Heck last time I checked you basically went from Arcon to Counsel member with really nothing in-between."

I will be very interested in learning exactly what a Sentinel is and what his or her position in the structure of your guild is. Oh and while I'm at it I'd like to know how that position ranks up against say Arcons or Mage's Guild high Counsel members.

"The post of a Sentinel is not a position. It is exactly that a post. It would be like saying someone is an enforcer of Mandilor. We have existed for quite some time but as I said we keep to ourselves for the most part. There are not many of us, and I doubt any have passed through here in recent times. I do believe one of your mages might have joined our ranks though. Brodmordh or something to that effect. All of us have some affinity for elementalism. I am sure if you checked with ToeVass they would have a list of each of the Sentinels. You are the House of Knowledge after all. As I said, I will offer what ever aid I can. You may check my credentials at your leisure."

*To Garen Aythereon*

"Well, I wasn't necessarily raised the same way most of my race were..."

"I had one friend Garen, He was taken from me. You know how I responded? By killing the entire camp of drow that killed him. It was the one time in my 92 years of life that I have shown anger, and It was also the day I discovered how to use magic. Upon using the magic to kill the last of my quarry, I passed out. I awoke three days later. Still alone. Only after you know what I have been through can you judge me"

*He vanishes, and you hear a thud as he lands on the roof of the inn*
