I do so hope, says Daniel as he places his hand upon his blades, you are not implying that Kathryn, myself or any of the others that have been discussing going into the cave of being on the path to the Red Tear. I would find that highly foolish. These treasure we seek are not out of a sense of boredom or greed but rather to better ourselves in the battles to come. To seek out new items of power for those fights. You know what I find even more humorous is a lecture coming from one that peddles minor magical trinkets for profits and personal greed and further he then attempts to compare his creations with the items of rare and unique power found only in the cave. Items that can cause a normal blade to swing for vorpal or a helmet that can block all charms or a shield that can turn one to and from stone or a bottle that doubles the effects of potions or a cape that makes you immune to the assassin's blade. Are you saying you can craft these things?

*Yawns VERY noticeably while Barnabas is speaking, and when he finishes, he looks at him*, "Yeah here's something to meditate on... pissing off Kathryn is a good way to get yourself in trouble, and you don't even get any treasure out of the deal."
*Res smirks* "If greed turns everyone into Red Tear acolytes, we are seriously hosed. You know how many greedy people there are in this kingdom? Hell we're all greedy about some things... if it aint money and treasure, then it's knowledge, or magic, or power, or makin' yourself feel morally superior to the people around you." *He winks at Barnabus*, "Screw that 'path to the Red Tear' crap. The world ain't black and white. There's shades of grey everywhere. You can tell yourself different if it helps you sleep better, but that don't change anything. There's a huge difference between caving for treasure and necromantic treason."
"Me, I got no problem admitting that I'm going there for greed. So what? I'm not under the delusion that I'm better than anybody else. You want to sit there and preach a lot of hot air about heroism and a good death, I won't stop you... hell, I'll even get you a nice little box to stand on... or meditate on, or whatever it is you do. But you might want to know that you sound like a pompous ass."
"We all got to die someday, and none of us get to pick when. Some will go down in a blaze of glory, some will pop a blood vessel sitting on the shitter. I figure if I die doing something I love, like collecting things that will make me rich, at least it beats being found curled up on the toilet."

~Looks at Daniel on his way out~
Do you really believe that I am accusing anyone of being in the Red Tier? I merely said that they tend to recruit from the greedy. Your a seer correct? Check and see if my words ring true. This town itself has had in the past people who have fallen to the Red Tier. Is it so surprising to you that someone would be concerned that it could happen again? As for magical items,...with enough time and resources, I believe any of those items of which you speak are achievable. Costly, but achievable.
~Looks to Res~
You also are a seer correct? You should maybe look into someone before you berate them. It may not be in your best interest. Besides, do you think that Jack will be fond of your decision in risking your life for profit and potentially wasting his investment? Just a thought...

I thought it was quite clear that I was done speaking with you.

*Res shrugs and says to Barnabas as he walks out the door*, "What can I say, I only look into people who are worth looking into."
*Res looks at Daniel* "Don't the Red Tear also recruit from the arrogant? Sheesh. At least when I'm being an ass, it's more or less intentional."

Re: COA
I personaly make a living treasure hunting. Then I turn around and use the wealth I collect to help the kingdom. So it is a win win. If I die in the cave, so be it, but I do it knowing the risks. This is what I have been training for most of my life. I eventual would love to make it to the bottom of the cave, but I know I'm not ready for that just yet.
Everyone is welcomed to there opinon, but others might not care to listen and could take effense. Like comparing basic greed to becomeing a member of the red tear. Bad choice of words. If greed lead people to the red tear, the entire House of Mandilore would be members. I can tell you they are not red tear members.
A little greed is good, to much greed can lead you into trouble. Just be smart about it. And the folks going into the cave will be smart about it!
Just food for tought.

Eld, Barnabas was around before you showed up. And the last person that I know of that turned to the Red Tier was Spiff. And that was almost a decade ago. But his reasons wasn't out of greed but more of loneliness and despair.

~to Eld from the back of the inn~
You act as if he was the only threat to the kingdom. While everyone else left Legacy I stayed until I could stay no longer. Then I traveled the kingdom seeking out necromancers wherever I could find them and destroying them. Now,..If I didn't help you with one necromancer I do apologize but I figured the members of this town were more that skilled enough to take care of him. As for making trinkets...just don't ask me to make you anything. If they are merely bobbles I mean.
