"For the last time, I fully planned on leaving before we got to the unicorn... I gave my life making sure that the unicorn lived."

*Adoven sighs*

"Well Maka, I saw a man walk into town with two unicorn horns on his shoulders, and I heard him say he needed to kill another. I was angry beyond belief, so I went with him. While he thought I was there to help him, I was going to stop him. I put up my scry shield, and I was going to attempt to get him to teleport to "The grove" with me. I was going to teleport to some other random location and leave him there. Since it would be a crime for me to kill him, I wanted to buy it time for someone to make sure that the unicorn was okay."

*Kenric gets up from his spot at the bar*

"From what I can see, the reason that most people don't like you is that you keep saying you can take anyone down and acting like you're the best mage that's ever lived. Change the attitude and I'm sure people would change their opinion of you."

Olaf's supportive stance fades to one of scorn as Avoden's tale gets wilder and wilder.

"Ah. Now Olaf see why you run. Lies only come this easy to cowards."

"Kenny has a point. You really are an arrogant ass. It also would help your case if you didn't threaten to kill people's mates and throw their children into magic dead cells as bait for a baby eating necromancer."

Vaanak's contempt for the elf is visibly apparent.

And don't fight unless you have to. You do not need to prove yourself to anyone. Fighting Maka was silly and just got you killed. It was entertaining to the town, but served no purpose. You are young for an elf, so maybe you want to seek guidence with the older elf's of Midway.
