I'm free this month to teach, up until next weekend, if you have the time. Otherwise, I anticipate that I will be available next month as well.

"Well if you're free to teach it, I'd love to learn a new skill. Especially one as useful as that. Being able to tell if someone is telling the truth or lying would be a great tool to have."

Evidence is just as important. A lie is only a lie if someone knows they speak falsehoods. Evidence always tells the truth. I would rather you rely on information for now, but if Lady Kathryn wishes to teach you that is her choice.

*Kenric addresses Jack*

"Don't get me wrong me Jack, I understand that evidence is important too. However, I must rely on logic to see the truth behind evidence, whereas I need skill to tell if someone is speaking lies. Being able to utilize evidence and the truth together will allow me to render the best judgments."

Divination is not allowed at trial, under any circumstances.

Why not Kathryn? It seems to me divination would be the best route, and the easiest way. Unless of course you've got mountains of evidence, or the person in question confesses to the crime.
