Addressing Devris

Post by Maka »

*maka waits asks Kathryn, Jack, and Kenrick*

So, okay, I need to know something VERY important about da law.

If a crime is committed but the victim doesn't wish the criminal prosecuted - do I arrest them anyway? Or do I just bring them in and let you guys sort it out.

I think a criminal is a criminal and just because the victim is forgiving doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished. Otherwise they just gonna do it again.

I've been hearing people throw around words like "pressing charges" and "prosecuting" as if the person who is the victim has a choice about it. A crime is a crime, and it is DeVris' job to punish criminals and uphold the law.
