A Couple Of Questions (Crafting)

First - in the section on Combining Crafting Skills, it says that
Also, I have a character concept that is very interested in lore and learning - old Scroll-making sounded like a good fit, and new Relic Crafting also seems relevant. How do crafting skills mostly work economically? Do I need a higher rank in the skill to make something people are willing to pay a bit of coin for? Wondering whether I can expect a steady income with which to pay my upkeep.
Also (sorry, not crafting I know) when benefiting from Spell Armor and regular worn armor, how is it determined from which pool armor points are removed first (since they are apparently restored/refitted separately)?
Does this mean that 1 character does not need to meet all of the requirements themselves ... ie a Relic Crafter of high rank, without the master one-shot that specifically allows this, could work with a less skilled relic crafter who can cast the spell that is to be scribed? Two or more crafters may combine the same skill to create something together. They
must meet all of the requirements between them for the project and each person working
on the project must contribute at least 1PP.
