Why the look of shock? Are Necromancers the only wrong hands it could fall into?

If I were able to use it, I would remove magic from the entire world. Some would consider mine the wrong hands, but some would disagree with those who think that.

Twilight wrote: *Twilight appears a bit shocked*

Why, the wrong hands would be the hands of the Necromancers.

Perhaps then, any hands are the wrong hands.

Magic is a part of the cycle. To destroy magic would be to disrupt the cycle. Such a powerful device could be used for any type of selfish reason ... so mayhaps that is why it was hidden away, to keep it from the world who wasn't ready for such power.

I have to agree with Twilight on this.

Perhaps the world is ready for such a staff, but only if used by the elf mentioned in this. Other then that well it would be bad for the other side I believe are itching to control it as well.

You say the other side as if there are only two sides to this particular coin. Some situations have many facets. I do not think that magic is needed in the cycle, but then again, I wouldn't be able to utilize the staff so the point becomes moot.

Not to mention, if Twilight is correct we'd kill most of the people we tried it on. Which makes me wonder--what do we do with this staff if we find it? You could destroy the whole of elven society with it. *pauses* Any elves pissed in Ryphisto's biscuits? If so, he finds it, he may be paying you a visit.

Unknown on that one Jenna.

I just know he left under mysterious circumstances. There were a lot of theories as to what had happened to him.

Don't think he'd just be harming the elven race. If magic goes then so do the mages and well other beings of magic, created by magic, or well enhansed by magic.

*Twilight shakes her head, a look of great loss upon her features*

The portents tell of a great cataclysm ...

... I never thought ...

*her voice trails off*

*Solari laughs*

I..I could see how you might think that Nyrhtak, but the mother's blessing is a part of this world and an intergral part of this world. I..it is born of the land and is in everything within it. Some would say that your immunity to it is a sort of magic itself. M...my guess as to your uhm.. condition is that if the mother's gift were not broken, magic may affect you too.

*Pats Winters arm reassuringly*

Lets not cross those bridges until we get to them, shall we? Who knows, maybe it's the magicly created creatures that will get wiped out, like the golems.

*Kimberlyn looks over to Twilight*

Winter, I could be totally wrong here with that statement. I was just thinking and what was mentioned had me drawing that conclusion.

*After listening to Fate, Kimberlyn grows quiet for a moment and a look of deep concern crosses her face.*

*Said very quietly*

Fate, if you are going by that conclusion then you wipe out all Mage Slayers as well.

*Solari all of a sudden looks very contemplative*

What of the Ga'vin or the Valkin'vi? some say they were born of magic also.
*shudders*
A world without the blessing of the mother, *looks at Nyrhtak* I know you know no other way but I truly can't imagine not being able to touch the mother any longer.

*looks surprised and then blushes*

My apologies... I did not know you were magically created.

Enhansed. Magically enhansed as are all of my profession. We can do things most other humans cannot. Absorb the magical energies around us and use them as a weapon when necessary.

It is why at times I can turn my weapons into one of the four elements, protect myself a bit from damage by an elemental, and other odd things some of you have seen me do.

We are not mages, but can do mage-like things.

*Twilight looks off to the trees, her eyes glass over as if she is looking at something, yet focusing on nothing. She speaks softly to no one in particular*

There is a great cataclysm on the horizon. Like the breaking of magic into the elements so many lifetimes back, like the War between Essence and Necromancy, the ongoing Wars between Order and Chaos. There will come a point when the world will no longer be able to contain the energy produced by the waring factions ... and the world will break once more.

*The concern grows in Kimberlyn's face and she looks at Twilight*

Breaking to what extent? It does make sense will all that is gonig on this world and for balance sake, it can only hold so much before. Before it will shatter.

The theory on the staff then was not to far off then, was it Winter?
