I had thought that the Great Eye was in reference to the Red Tear. I may be wrong.

I have heard of the Great Staff.

Didn't think of the Tear at all until you brought them up?

What is this staff Twilight? Should we be looking for it?

*Solari begins copying the words in a hand that elves will recognize but not be able to completely read, Aurora or Bennet if they can read can see that he is copying the Prophecy word for word stanza for stanza in wood elven*

I believe the staff is the staff that created the Mahuru that my people and the Essence Mages used in the last Essence war. Some of my peoples have searched for this staff but to no avail. I think that you *looking at Twilight* should share the chronicle as well as it may answer some of the questions that will be brought up.

I believe Bough does translate to Noble, as it indicates in Stanza 24.

So what does this staff do?

All I know of it is its mention in the Chronicle of the Essence War. That is, if it is the same Staff. In the Chronicle, it was referred to as the Great Staff.

If my interpretation is correct, it was the Great Staff that the Essence Mages used in a restoration process to invert the ley lines. This inversion resulted in the creation of the Maharu - which killed many Avianna in the process, those that survived became magic dead. It goes on to say that the Un'Far'Dar, the Fire Elves from the Sea of Dust, had a Family that joined the Maharu in suffering the fate the Great Staff deals.

The end of the Chronicle tells of the final battle in the Cave of Destiny beyond the Pit of Creation. It was durring one of the phases of this battle that Ulric's fate was tied to that of the Master. One of the Essence Warriors captured the Staff and hid it.

The Essence War was lost - according to the Chronicle - because the Staff was lost and the Essence Leader had died.

So then it could be deduced that this staff could be used to create more magic-dead beings?

I am certain it could be used for such, though that was not its original purpose. The creation of the Magic Dead seemed to be more of an unexpected after-effect.

You know...if we could power that thing to reach all the way around the world, we could rid it of Necromancy for all time..

And what if it were to fall into the wrong hands? I fear that is why it was hidden away in the first place.

That all depends on what you consider 'wrong' i suppose.

*Twilight appears a bit shocked*

Why, the wrong hands would be the hands of the Necromancers.
