29: Wastes to the north, the last Battle won

29
Wastes to the north, the last Battle won,
Islands to the south, struggles in shadows,
Darkened hills to the east, where honor fights treachery,
Far west under sun, tyranny faces rebellion,
All seems past or so far away, yet; look closer west.
Banners will fly to meet Discord's rise, still only a battle.
Battles become petty, for the Great War that was comes once more,
To save or destroy them all, only time shall tell.

Please discuss below.

The last section on this. Twilight, Jenna...could this be refering to the war between Order and Chaos?

This war must be prevented.

Divin...don't you dare.

How, if this hunch of mine is right. How do we prevent both sides from waring when that is what they are preparing to do right now?

If Divin can keep himself and his people under control, I will work on those that I now choose to associate myself with.

This is not the only stanza that refers to the battle between Chaos and Order.

Is this first section in reference to the Order/Chaos wars as well or does that refer to something else?

Wastes to the north...is that where the orcs hail from?
And islands to the south...are those the pirate islands I hear about, or something else?

What hills to the east are they speaking of?

<ponder>

Does anybody have a decent map? Or know where we can get one?

Decent map could probably be purchased by the lighthouse guy in Ports End. He is the one who drew a map I have of this area.

What is to the south of the kingdom of silverthorn?

I know that to the north is the sea of dust...that seems to be a large wasteland to me.

Does anything else from this stanza fit with the geography of the kingdom of silverthorn?

Just a thought.

I thought the Sea of Dust was to the west, right over the Chaos mountains.
