The...cave...of...the...ancients....

"For the Ring that gates the Great Tunnel has been found once more,
They shall battle for the key to a World beyond the Door."

If my suspicions are correct....

For the ring that controls the gate to the Cave of the Ancients has been found once more by the Gnome King.

The Gnome King and the Cave of the Ancients shall battle for the key to get outside.


The Gnome King has been freed....


Remember the damage we saw that was done to the cave when we went inside...

I remember seeing the damage done to the cave. It was battered. bruised, and there were huge gashes inside the cave. It was as though a major struggle took place.

It is a good working theory on why the cave could have been in town.

We need to find out if this is true, if so we need to see if the cave can be helped or if we lost our chance when it came to our doorstep.

*Mylo cracks his knuckles loudly and lightly shakes his head as if to clear a slight haze from his mind*

I am going to take my first of many stabs here at interpretation. I have been mulling this prophecy over in my head and I have a tickle in there that makes me want to believe that there is somehow a relationship between different stanzas. Perhaps there is a code to crack in this prohpecy related to mathematics somehow? I will get to work on that on the morrow for now lets begin to ramble a bit shall we?

Firstly I will reiterrate some words by the lovely and talented Twilight.

“a World beyond the Door” does not refer to the Dreamscape”

Here we go...........For the sake of argument let us assume that the Gnome King and the Cave of the Ancients just battled it out for the “key to the world beyond the door”. I understand, though did not witness with my own eyes, that there were a lot of golems in town to be dealt with. I believe that I remember something about golems being the army of the Gnomish vampire king. I could be wrong on that however. Perhaps the “Ring that gates the Great Tunnel” was inside the Cave? Hmmmm….. Perhaps this Cave of the Ancients came to Midway for protection from this Vampire King of Autumn. It seems as though stories of adventurers besting many levels of this cave from Midway would teach a semi-sentient being of a place to go for protection. Perhaps the Ancients, lets assume ancient essence mages, used this cave as a means of protecting an epicenter of essence/ring/gateway entrance. If we look to stanza 9 referring to “The Great Tunnels” being what the ancient Gnomish ancestors used to leave…….Where did they go? And is where they went what could be considered a “World beyond the door”? Perhaps if there was a great tunnel located inside the Cave of the Ancients, this Gnomish King of Autumn used it to travel on that foggy night….. Perhaps we need to locate other "Great Tunnels" as soon as possible and find out where they go?
