From the world of nightmare, sealed from light, so that nights are safe,
A traveler will be lost, his way home found by another,
And as the days grow long with light, Darkness of Summer will join the fight.

I believe this stanza refers to the Vampire Queen Summer.

Great, vampires and more then likely necromancers if Jarrick is any indication of these seasonal vampires.
If this is the case, perhaps we should find out now what can destroy her.

According to the Chronicle of the Essence War:
It was she who opened the Rift in the Chaos Mountains, under a mountain, to the Realm of the Underlings.
The few Dwarves of the group, along with a contingent of Wood Elves from the area - known as the Myranese - attempted to raid the mountain and close the Rift. All of the Dwarves died in the assault. The Myranese and the Underlings vanished. Summer was lost with them.

If what I am thinking and putting together is correct, not all them vanished. Lukas Myranese. Head of the Mage Slayers, elven, and more then likely around during that time.
Perhaps maybe a few of us should discuss things with him.

His way found home by another.... You don't think that means Lukas, or whoever it was, was let out, or shown the way out by the Vampire Queen Summer, do you?

So, does this mean I might have something here with the Lukas angle? If so Twilight, do you want me to spend influence in the Guild so that you can talk to him?

If Lucas is a descendant of the Myranese, or perhaps if he was a part of the War himself, then he may have information we could all benefit from. Yes, I do believe a conversation with him is in order.

Lucus is my elder by age, but by no more than two hundred years. I find it very far fetched that one living now would have participated in the wars of essance... lest they be necromancers, and even the task of spanning one's life past a full millenia is a difficult thing indeed.
