Nicodemas turns, looking to Karragin and smirking at Lochlain's response. "Diplomacy is the first solution in any altercation." he nods. "Karragin, you may go but not without others with you. I believe it best if you wait a moon or two and bring a few more. Speak with Farrow about it, he'll be more able to make such a decision and would likely accompany you."

Farrow walks out from around the inn, "I would be more than happy to take him for diplomacy, I am ready and if you are as well Karragin I think that we should go now."

Turns to Nico, "Nico, tell Mary that I wish to speak with her on some things when I get back"

One man within the lead wagon reaches out for the PCs - not quite able to reach them.

"Psst! You must help me! I know this sounds crazy, but this is not what it seems at all! I am actually King Johannes Silverthorne! They've kidnapped me and are smuggling me out of the Kingdom with this elaborate ruse!"

Turns to Nicodemas

"Do you want me to go with them Sir?"

Quietly to Nicodemus:
"Can you or one of your men run back to the inn and try to find Vaellar, Mary or anybody else who might be able to recognize the King of Silverthorne? Unfortunately, I have no idea what His Majesty actually looks like. I will try to stall the caravan until you can return."

*Goes over to Aroura*

Speaking quietly to Aroura:
"You wouldn't happen to know what the King of Silverthorne looks like? One of the men in that cage is claiming to be the King and that this is just a ruse to kidnap him."

*Heads back to the hunchbacked man*

To the hunchbacked man:
"Many of the soldiers in your escort look to be almost asleep on their feet. Surely, it would be better to give them a bit of rest and carry on in the morning. We should be able to offer at least some food and drink to help ease everybody's fatigue. I should hate to think of what might happen if you were to press on and be set upon by some foe with your guards so exhausted. This area is no place to be without adequate protection."

My lord he says that he is the king! Surely we have to help him! Though, it could sound crazy because, he is crazy...we still must help him.

*to Lochlain*

No i have never seen the king, but i can do a detect lie spell on him. The only problem being is if he isn't, but truely believes he is than i'll get a false truth. But i believe it's at least worth a try. Please show me the man.

*walks over to the man Lochlain indicates*

Sir if i may. (in a whisper) Are you the king of silverthorn?
*waits for reply* Spell Detect Lie (on his answer)

*waits for magical answer*

“Rest? Ha ha!” The Hunchback shifts to look back at the following footmen. “What say you, boys? Shall we try taking another rest?”

“NO!” comes a chorus of replies, punctuated by a number of explicatives.
“You know there can be no rest with this warped lot!”
“We’re only a few hours out, now, right?”
“Better to get them to the Asylum and off our hands!”
“Then we can sleep for a year!”
“It was sleeping in and missing role call that got you on this assignment in the first place, wasn’t it Johnson?”

The wagons continue to rumble along the road.

“Yes!” The man whispers back to Aurora (Truth). “Tis I, your King! You MUST free me, before it is too late! But have a care! We are surrounded by disguised rat-men! Even these other so-called prisoners are evil vermin! A veritable army to rise up should their deception be penetrated! You must rally my troops and attack this caravan in force!”

*i count what 4 other people around me (not in caravan)*

*to his majesty* (still in a whisper) Do you know if they have anything blocking teleportation around you? Please excuse my intrusion but i have to check what magic may be on you. *sence magic level 4*



*to Lochlain and Nicodemous* Would you be so kind as so slowly get the people of legacy aware of the situation. I'm not sure teleporting him out is the best way to do this, but it would be the quickest. Please tell me your thoughts quickly. I'm sure the gaurds are going to get suspicious if we keep talking to any one person in the caravan. Also if Sylas or Vaellar can be found he'd do a better job of "checking" what magics are around.

Farrow turns to the group "I shall run back and see what I can do about getting everyone ready, my Lord?" *waits for an answer*

Nicodemas turns, looking to the group and considering a very similiar situation of someone claiming to be someone else and having little proof and what happened when he did not inheritantly believe said individual. Nicodemas nods to Aurora, Lochlain and Farrow. "Farrow, make haste and gather who you can. Elros- make sure that Karragin is safe. Karragin, see if you can't get some more information from Mr. Johanass here and as for me.." Nicodemas's words trail off as he hustles to the front of the caravan and steps aside the hunchback man, slowly unsheathing his sword and holding it plainly at his side. He takes eye of the axle and reins and then begins to speak to the caravan leader.

"Now sir, I must have you know before I say anything I plan on saying or do anything I plan on doing, I'm quite well sure this is some type of trick being played on me and my fellows- but every time I use logic to reach a conclusion I'm a criminal or villain in some way. This is only relevant because I must ask you to stop your caravan immediately for inspection." he nods. "It is to my understanding that any and all movements of troops should be checking in with not only the local thane and constable but certainly the military leaders and as I happened to b stationed across from the royal military here I don't recall you being there." he winces, knowing that this is some elaborate ruse. "But sir, I must insist, as leader of the Order of the Black Sun and member in good standing with the local military that you stop this carriage at once."

"My lord" Farrow turns and runs to the inn, "Vallar, anyone else in here, we have a situation. Some is saying that he is King Johannes Silverthorne and that rat men or somesort have captured him. Now, I don't know how true this is but have you by chance seen the King before?

"let us see if we can do something about this situation. tell me where it is and i can get us there quickly." gell grabs his reat maul and his heavy crossbow and awaits a response.

Ummm....Farrow say what??

Guess we better go see what this is all about before Nicodemus kills our king while trying to save some ratmen from him. *Snicker*
