The Portal within its palisade flashes into life. Avyana soldiers promptly flock over to structure to see what’s going on.

*Vaellar quietly mumbles some words under his breath and then slowly takes flight so as to gain a better vantage point with regards to what is happening*

The portal shines, held open as a herald in the blue and silver of Silverthorne speaks with an Avyana guard. The guard shouts at another, who runs off toward the red tents of an encampment.

As Sylas approaches, the herald nods to him. “Ah, Constable Hay! Finnius Larson, Standard Bearer for General William Fuller, requesting an audience with the Commander of the Lethal Army on his behalf. I trust all is well?”

*Solari comes through the portal soon after the delegation does but long enough after that it's pretty obvious that he was not part of the delegation*

An Avyana runs back into the palisade. “Lieutenant Moki, acting Warden of these parts, extends his hospitality and will host Silverthorne’s delegation in good faith. He is prepared to receive General Fuller at his convenience.”

The Herald bows. “Thank you for your swift reply. I will convey your gracious words to the General at once.”

With that, he spins on his heal and disappears back through the portal.

I believe your war customs are that occupying forces will usually treat with those that held it before them and still claim it as theirs.

*Sees the look on Sylas's face*

Oh, I had nothing to do with that. I was talking to Von Droven about something completely different.

*Looks as if he is about to say something else but stops himself with a look around*

I was as surprised as you when he told me I could come back through the portal.

*Looks around for someone near the portal as he is talking*

I just wanted to get the healer back to Sylvan'Con and go over a few things with Von Droven.

I'll be right back.

*walks toward the portal and stops and turns*

They've been appraised of the full situation as it was when I left

*continues toward the portal*

After several minutes, two Silverthorne honor guard emerge from the Portal, followed by General Fuller (last seen in Legacy as a captain recovering from an assassination), a pair of dignitaries sporting the DeVris and Tovass House crests, and a second set of honor guard. From there, an Avyana detachment escorts them over to the Inn, bedecked in banners featuring the black Lethnal falcon on a red field.

Moments earlier the scene in the Inn was chaotic as Avyana scrambled to set up a field conference table, straighten things up as well as possible, and arrange themselves to receive guests. Now, Moki stood in apparent calm before the far end of the table, surrounded by sergeants, while soldiers held sharp attention along the walls.

Moki bows his head briefly as Fuller and his entourage enter. “The Lethnal Empire welcomes the representatives of the Kingdom of Silverthorne!”

*Seeing her house sigil upon the representatives, Mary rises and heads towards the delegation. She sighs heavily wondering how she'll be berated this time.*

The DeVris rep nods to Mary as she approaches, but then is distracted when Fuller speaks, looking back and forth between the two reps.

“Empire? I thought it was ‘The Kingdom of Lethnal’!”

“That is as recorded in our records, General,” replies Tovass, “However –“

“Things change.” Finishes Moki. “Shall we?” The Lieutenant motions to the seats at either end of the table.”

“Ahem… Yes.” Fuller and the House reps sit at one end, Moki at the other. Fuller motions to the two men with him. “This is Edmonton Garce of House Devris and Peter Morrow of House Tovass. Both have journeyed from the City of Silverthorne to meet you. I am General William Fuller, as you know, of His Majesties Royal Expeditionary Forces West of the Chaos Mountains.”

“Which currently numbers… seven?” Moki observes.

“Ahem… Well, yes. We have experienced some… minor setbacks. But that has all changed now. We thank you for coming to the aid of Silverthorne lands, and are in your debt. We would not wish to burden you with the defense of civilian settlements, and are prepared to move in our own garrisons to free up your troops. In addition, we offer supply lines from the bounty of our Kingdom and Allied troops to reinforce your lines against the Red Tear.”

“Silverthorne lands?” Moki drawls. “I am aware of no treaty between Lethnal and Silverthorne recognizing Silverthorne boundaries West of the Chaos Mountains.” He gestures to the red and black Avyana banners hanging about the Inn. “No, I fail to see any Silverthorne lands here. However, if you wish to draw such a territorial treaty now, I am authorized to legitimize Lethnal’s current claim of the totality of Ulric’s Gift.”

The General and the House Reps are immediately engrossed in frantic whispering.
