If anyone is interested, I am going to go visit the all those people that are a few hours away in their little town, the former convicts. I have some official business there, but if anyone else would like to come along I would not mind the company.

As if something like that has ever bothered me. It is something in all fairness I feel needs to be done and after that well then it will all be fair game.

I am guessing this means I am to head there by myself then?

*in a complete reversal of attitude*

*She looks at Draven*

Kimberlyn, Sylas, and Drake set off on the now well-beaten trail up river toward the fledgling town of Harrison’s Folly. It’s not long before they come across another group of travelers – six unarmored men carrying clubs. They are at first alarmed by the approach of three well-armed individuals, but then one of them cries out.

“Hey, that’s Legacy’s Constable! And there be the Mage Hunter! And that other fellow’s wearin’ the Red & Black! It’s okay, we’re safe! Hey, youse fine folk headed for the ‘Folly? Mind if we walk with ya?”

*Kimberlyn looks at the 6 men*

Suit yourself if you would like to come with.

*Turns to Sylas and Draven*

How about you two take the front and I'll take the rear guard.

As they all proceed up river, Draven suddenly grabs Sylas by the shoulder bringing him, and those following, to an immediate halt. He points upward, where the party suddenly notices the large nets hung hidden among the overhead tree canopies. After a quick search, Draven uncovers and disables the associated trip wires along the ground.

No sooner has he done this than a good twenty Frogmen leap from the river and fall upon the party with jabbing spears.

*Kimberlyn gets that agressive, intimidating look in her eyes. She grips her two swords tightly ready to fight, the fire of combat burning in her eyes.*

*Looks over at Draven, Sylas, and the others*

You boys ready for unless either you Draven or Sylas here have any tricks up your sleeves, the only way we are getting past is by fighting them.


*She waits to see what the others due, but is on guard enough to attack if necessary.*

*Kimberlyn quickly looks at the frogmen and smirks, her eyes flaming with the rush of an impending fight.*

Kimberlyn cuts into the Frogmen as they advance, swiping aside their spears with one sword and carving deep into their flesh with the other. First one frogman falls, then another.

Everyone else, however, is getting overwhelmed. Draven fells one frogman while fending off the spears of several others. Sylas is fighting defensively, attempting to cover some of the immigrants, who are completely overmatched by the frog warriors' superior numbers.
