A shadow slips inside...

From underneath a voluminous hood, a low strangely accented voice issues forth,

"Be there any who can provide a summary of current events? Once again, my feet have taken me away too long on other paths..."

Maybe

*Jack walks over to the bar, orders two elven wines and turns around grinning*

I'll tell you what I know if you remove your hood, tell me your name and, join me in a drink. Of course I mean no disrespect but, I would prefer to talk as friends, not strangers.

A slight smile can be seen in the darkness of the cloak.

"Very well."

The leather-gloved hands lower the hood, revealing a "Valkyn Vi" woman whose features barely contain an ethereal "other-ness", even to those familiar with the race. There is a hint of alien, wild grace that is also apparent in her movements. The multi-green eyes study you intently.

"I am called Raven of Nights Shade, sir. And thee are...?

*Jack puts the two drinks down on a table and offers Raven a seat. Jack sits down and begins to talk*

"For starters I am Jack of House De'Vris, and its always a pleasure to see new faces in Legacy. Well assuming that those new faces aren't trying to kill you."

*Jack laughs quietly and and leans back in his chair*

"Well, I'll tell you what I know. Trouble with theives seems to be a rather large problem, considering how few people live here there seems to be a rather large amount of them. Raiding caravans, stuff like that. A few of these groups also have Red Tear scum aiding them. Ah yes, the Red Tear has many covens around these parts, but our King has sent an Army north of here I believe to help deal with that problem. Crocodiles have been killing many people, no-one really can stop this I believe, what with the crocs seeing us as a new item on their menus."

*Jack sits up in his chair and thinks for a second*

"Oh, Bugs, huge bugs have been attacking us off and on, and with the blood moon rising undead will no doubt be coming to haunt us once again."

*Jack continues to think*

"What else do you want to know, I'm sure I'm forgeting somethings. Maybe if you ask a few questions. Anything in perticular you want or need to know, I could find out and get back to you."

With the dirt from the road still upon his grey colored cloak a tired, travel worn Daniel enters the duel doors of the inn. After a bit he returns down stairs from his room and is cleaned up with not quite so dirty cloths on.

"Bombour my friend, a ale please. Tips his head to Jack, "Good evening Jack I trust all is well. Ah and good evening to you as well Raven."

After Daniel sits down and removes his hat there is clearly a strange marking upon his head. It is in a pattern of a triangle sectioned into 4 parts.

*walking in and shaking off the chill*
"brrr..."

*to no one specific*
"Has anyone seen Balthezar? I've been looking for him all month."

*To Raven*
Hello Raven, it is good to see you, how are things?

*To Sylas*
He stumbled out of the Inn one night a few months ago muttering something about "damn stingy guthries" and "worse mistake ever" and got on that teleportation disk and I haven't seen him since.

*Spring looks up from a dark corner, her stones strewn about the table in front of her. She looks to Solari, then Raven and smiles reminiscently*

It would only befit the Blood Moon that my kin would choose to reunite now. Welcome to Legacy, my dark sister.

*she then looks back to her stones, her brow forrowing in frustration*

*A red haired woman walks into the Inn. It is apparent she has been training as she sits down to wipe some dirt off of her two shortswords. The Mage Hunter appears as if she is preparing for something, something big. he sees the dark haired woman and looks at her as if trying to remember something.*

Excuse me, I feel as if I should know you for your face is familiar to me, but I cannot remember you name. It is on the tip of my tongue, but for some reason I cannot quite remember it.

*Looks at Jack*

I take it you received my message Jack.

*To Solari*

Has there been any unusual activity in the woods over the past week or so? If there is, let me know for I'm not taking any chances with the Blood Moon approaching.

*Over to Bombour*

Dwarven ale please and yes I will be in town. No plans what-so-ever to do some tasks for the army this moon.

*Solari looks quizziclly at Twilight*

Are you not missing one of your kin?

*To Kimberlyn*

As is with most Blood Moons the woods have gone eerily silent, the creatures of the forest hide themselves away. They skitter away even when I try and speak with them in their tongue. Even the growth of the plants seems to slow this blood moon, although they have been continually slowing for a bit now from the pace they were soon after Alric's sacrifice. But... something feels different about this one, I'm not sure if it's the proximity to the Red Tear or not... but something seems to lurk in the forests. On my patrols of late it's almost as if something looms over my shoulder... but when I turn to face it there is nothing but wind and leaf... and the unnatural fog.

*She looks at him*

Yes, the fog is making it difficult for me to look into anything through my lab or ony own. It's as if this fog is a creature itself perhaps.

Yeah, something just has me extremely uptight. Granted this time of the year I generally am, but just all of my instincts as a Mage Hunter are screaming this Blood Mood is a far different beast then the years past and I have a feeling there are a lot of factors about this area that are going to make it that way.

by Nyrhtak Of Mahuru
*Nyrhtak tips his hat to the "newcomer"*

We have not met, but I have heard much of you. Welcome to the edge of the civilized world.

*Nyrhtak looks about and then toward the door. He looks over to Mary and speaks...*

I'll meet you in Green Grove as planned. If I am to make it there in time for the vigil, I should be leaving now.

*Nyrhtak stands.*

There is something heavy in the air. I wish you all luck. For those of you who may worry about those who carry out the vigil in our previous home, worry not. I will be escorting the vigil this year and will smite any Necromancer that attempts to disrupt it. If you need anything, you know where to find me, but keep in mind that I will be unable to help with any immediate matters as I cannot travel as you can. I must take the pass through the Chaos Mountains. Fare thee all well.

*Kimberlyn looks at Nyrhtak*

Take care. Was looking forward to slaying whatever is out there with you, but that ritual is extremely important this time of year.

*she grins a bit*

Get a few extra for me.

*Mary's eyes are red and puffy. She has a handful of tissues protruding from her pouch, and instead of a sword she carries a knitted afghan.*

Please be safe, and dravel back soon. We have much to discuss. AAACCHOOOOO! AAACCHOOOOO!

*She embraces her comrade, keeping her face turned away, and shuffles toward the fire. She wraps the afghan around her like a cocoon and lays down near the warmth.*
