After careful consideration of my duties and obligations, I have determined that it is a conflict of interest for me to be formally associated with a group of people that I may or may not need to bring to trial or assist in investigations on. Therefor, I am announcing at this time that I am leaving the mercenary group known as VLO.

"Actually, I have been thinking long and hard on this as well. Several prominent members of the town and even some from out side it have come to me and mentioned things along these lines. I regret that I too feel that my foremost duty it to my house. I have never seen these duties to be in conflict with VLO, but if I am to be an unbiased keeper of the Tombs, then I must be unbiased. I'm truly sorry Nyrhtak, but I too am going have to step down from my membership in your guild. I hope we can still be friends, but at this time I feel it is the right thing. I have acted always in the best interest of my house, and do not wish to be accused of doing otherwise.”

*Nyrhtak looks at Daniel, his eyes wide and glistening. He says nothing. Once Daniel's hand leaves his shoulder he continues on his way to the door. He looks back, then turns and leaves the Inn.*

It is always political but I also must step down from VLO to not show that the Tax Man does not play favorites.
