The Inn gets busier.
Music, fun, and best of all, lots of Ale! One cannot ask for more than that, except for a warm bed, which they have as well.

The Inn gets busier.

Post by GM Evan »

*A wide-eyed, middle-aged peasant enters the Inn, and looks around before speaking*

"Greetings good fellows. My name is Farmer Mallington from Brack's Paddocks. I have this sort of problem, I think. You see, some of my livestock have been disappearing recently, and so I thought to look around - you know, to maybe find out why - especially since my livestock are valuable and all. So, I did a little bit of snooping, and mind you, a very little - I'm not much of a snooper, you see - and I heard some funny noises from a nearby cave. I've known that there was a small cave nearby for some time, as I once caught my kids playing in it - I scolded them for doing so, yes I did, but not too much of a scolding - I'm not much of a scolder, you see. So, right, I knew that the cave was there - only, I never heard funny noises coming from it before. I've heard, perhaps, wind noises coming from it, and maybe some rock-falling noises - I'm not really sure - but I know I haven't heard funny noises before. So, I'm under the suspection that these funny noises may have something to do with my missing livestock. Only, I didn't listen that well to the noises, so I'm not really sure what they are - I'm not much of a listener, you see. Or rather, I wasn't really sure what the noises were. Just earlier today I was working in my field when I heard a rather strange moo - see, my cows moo from time to time, as most cows do, and usually only when they have something to say - but this was a strange moo. I don't recall ever hearing a strange moo before. Then again, I'm not much of a moo-er myself, so I can't be quite sure. Anyway, I thought to investigate this strange moo - I normally don't investigate things as that tends to lead to trouble, but I was quite worried that my cow was in danger. If it had been a regular moo, perhaps, I wouldn't have been quite so worried - it's just that this moo was a particular moo, and so I decided to investigate - but then again, I'm not much of an investigator. So, I went to see what my cow was mooing about, and I saw a couple of small green-skinned creatures. At first I wasn't sure what they were - as they were some ways off - and I was afraid to get much closer - and I'm not much of a seer, you see - but then I heard them make funny noises. Now, I didn't hear the noises that well, as they were rather far off, but I did hear the noises - so, you see, I think goblins have been stealing my livestock. I don't care much what happens to those goblins, but I'd sure like it if someone scooted them off for me - I don't want my livestock being stolen no more. I don't have much to offer, but I sure would appreciate it. An now that I ave said my peace, cause im not much of a sayer you see I will be off back to my farm. When you adventuring types can find the time to help me get my cows back you just come see me an I will point ya to that cave I heard the mooing in."

*The peasant then turns and leaves the Inn, heading back to Brax Paddocks.
