*A small Gnome wearing a bright colored hat and a symbol of the messengers guild comes into the inn. He is carrying a package about 4 feet long and 2 feet wide wrapped in a white cloth that looks somewhat dirty and road worn.

*The gnome looks around the Inn and finally settles for walking over and standing on the bench near the bar.

Umm....Excuse me, Mr. Barkeeper. Im looking for a glass of your best gnomish ale and a man by the name of Arthur McBride. I was told by Tee to deliver this package to him. Can you point me in the right direction?

*sylas runs in with a shirt wrapped around his head like a make-shift scarf. He pushes the door wide with one hand, and in the other, arm fully extended to keep it as far away as possible, is a pair of fire-tongs holding a stinky, stain covered, loin cloth*

"Oh my god the smell!! Does anyone know how to change a cyclops baby?! For the love of Gromm I need a clean sheet or something!"

*He heads up the stairs twords the guards room*

*Nyrhtak looks at the gnome, then begins to sweep the room for Arthur as Sylas enters.*

*Nyrhtak's nose wrinkles and he coveres his face with a hand*

*He hear's Gromm's name and spits. Nyrhtak stands.*

Unfortunately....I cannot say I am good at it, but...I also cannot say that I have not seen it done in the past...

*Nyrhtak chases after Sylas*

"I havent seen Arthur in awhile. If you cannot find him, seek out Rhys. He may know where he is."

That will be 1 verlan

"One verlan my good gnome. This part of the last two jugs of gnomish ale in existance. My apprentice was killed by the local DeVries members over
some matter of jurisdiction overlap between kingdoms or some such. So once the last of it is gone, there will be no more made, as the recipe died with him."
"By the way, keep clear of any house DeVries members, they can be kinda nasty to us smaller folk."

*sylas runs down the stairs, tongs still in hand, yelling over his shoulder*

"Nyrtak! Grab as many sheets as you can carry! And grab a towel to wrap around your face. It wont be pretty"

*Sylas opens the back door, and without looking, flings the soiled loin cloth outside*

"Nyrtak, if your still willing to get your hands dirty, to the Jakoric House!"

*Sylas runs out the door, leaving it wide open for Nyrtak*

*Looks around frantically for sheets. Had no idea there were stairs in the Inn, and runs up them looking for sheets. Grabs whatever seems to pass for them and bolts out the door toward the Jakoric House.*

*The small gnome looks to Bombour*

Oh dear how terrible. I thought this town was friendly to us smaller folk, at least that is what I had heard. I am afraid that I cant afford a verlan for one drink so I will take whatever you can spare for a few pemb.

*The gnome looks over at Rowan*

Thank you very much for the offer but I am required by my contract to only give this package to Arthur McBride himself. You say he is on his way to the Corsair Isles? I dont suppose he will be coming back anytime soon will he?

*the gnome sighs*
I guess I am going to be in need of a room if you can spare one good innkeep?

*Kathryn lays a verlan on the countertop*

Allow me to buy your drink, Mr... ?

As for the town, we are indeed friendly to small folk such as yourself, provided that they don't consort with necromancers, such as Bombors' apprentice did.

*glances to Bombor then back to the messenger*

I suppose Bombor just mistakingly forgot to tell you that part of the story. I hope you enjoy your drink.

*Arthur walks into the inn covering his face with his cloak. Fatigue covers him as does multiple lays of dirt and grime. In his hand he is holding a letter, it looks as if he washed his hand just to hold it. Dropping his cloak from his face he opens the letter, reads it once more, then nods to himself.*

"Cathryn when you have a second I need to talk to you, well after I read this I am sure you will want to talk to me."

*He raises his voice so everyone present can hear clearly.*

"As of this moment forward I will be acting as the towns mage "hunter" as decreed by the Brotherhood of Knights, I will have the same authority as Kimberlyn had. This is only temperary and authority will be passed back to the mages guild when they send another hunter. If you have any questions please feel free to ask when I return."

*Turning, he strides towards his room.*

*Nyrhtak looks over and listens.*

Ah, so you will be acting with Llyshon then? Excellent. If you need any help you know who to look to when dealing with Mages.

*Nyrhtak sits back*

*follows Arthur*

Would you like to speak now, or perhaps you would like a chance to clean up?

*pauses*

Oh, by the way, that messenger over there is looking for you.

Bombour responds

"Ah the old "necromancy" charge again. Ah well. I thought he was free of those charges. "

Bombour lifts a glass to Mikos.

"To Mikos. May he rest in peace, rather than in peices."
